in JB - you can get display rate + 2 or 3
eg display 249. You can get 249+3 = 252

My advice is go and change wherever is convenient. That 1 or 2 ringgit difference is only 40cents or 80cents?? If you have to take a train or bus plus journey time to a particular money changer, then it's totally not worth it.

Precisely! If on the way and change a lot (> S$500) then worth it. Meanwhile in Malaysia, security is an issue.

Btw, Hougang 1 (HG Ave 9) is 2.48 only. :s13:

This is not because of the small amount or big amount ...it my heart pain...since we know the rate was around 2.56 but the money changer only give u rate 2.49 then beh song liaw even my amount not much. Like u know it was a scam but u just close ur eyes and pretend not see it?

We give them money to earn but get scam back. I wonder if we can report this kind of case to any gov dept or not.
