ok guys, i was at cimb branch at orchard yesterday. the staff said they cant open accounts in msia. i asked her to check with her manager and she came back telling me the same thing.

dao, i think there's another cimb branch at raffles place. you may wanna try that branch, may be they are able to open accounts in msia from that branch.

forgot to mention it is INSTANT transfer. once u click confirm the tfr will Instantly reflect in ur CIMB MY bank acct

aiya... i knew she wasnt sure herself. thats why i asked her to check with her manager! but she went inside and came out and gave me the same reply!

No monthly or annual charge for ATM or debit card?

how long does it take for him? that time i think they told me they cant do it, but have to send to malaysia and then from malaysia send back to singapore and he advise me to go malaysia open instead if i wan fast

actually what causes the up and down? What determine it? Weekend will have changes bo? I see 2.91 very long on google page liao

not sure about their atm down time. but heres my experience. it was quite straight forward to open an account w Hong leong public rhb maybank in msia (not sure about now). but hs n scb was a bloody pain.

your next question for me is why open so many bank accounts. lol.

think she went inside look into her mirror n see her make up then come out la. just now i called the cimb cusotmer service. he told me bank could help to fill up the form n send to malaysia. if the banker said cannot please ask for the name n call the customer service they want to investigate what meassage has been pass to customer

market force. haha sometime bank negara intervened then will strengthen .
FX can be short all as long u got enough margin

Let say if open CIMB account here. Can transfer to other bank account in Malaysia?

I should think so. can also be done with most, if not, all the other banks too. I believe its called telegraphic transfer.

Wonder why the CIMB rate at 2.9xx?? if u go POSB or UOB online exchange rate both of them don't even put up the rate online...

wow, u called them to check? thanks. hmm.. may be that was what she really did, i dunno... but it's ok, i dont think i'd wanna make a trip there just to ask for her name.

i think they do not provide any quotes for ringgit at dbs/posb. if you send sgd from a sg bank account to your ringgit msian bank account, the conversion will be done over there.

anyone, pls correct me if im wrong. thanks.
