Just opened the account at cimb raffles place. They can open for u both at sg n msia (take about 2 weeks) but u will need to collect the card yrself..can go to the nearest jb branch n collect.

But their today online rate only 2.8655 lei...the guy chk for me...emh why got two different rate..bit confusing...maybe floating at every 20 mins?

pls dont go open a bank account just for changing ringgit ba, really got change so much

because if i not wrong, usually money changer give special rate for whatever currency if it is 10k sgd n above

Just check..still 2.8790. No change.

Transfer sgd from sg cimb to ringgits in other MY bank
Is MY bank do the conversion rates rite?
No xtra charges ?

i think they do not provide any quotes for ringgit at dbs/posb. if you send sgd from a sg bank account to your ringgit msian bank account, the conversion will be done over there.

You are right. Our local banks do not trade MYR and IDR. This has been so since the Asian financial crisis. Therefore the money transfer is done in SGD and converted to MYR in Malaysia. It is also the account holder's duty to check the receiving account to make sure the money has been credited.
