4.5 percent market share as at 31 July 2021, of which the 4.5 percent is equivalent to 392,000 users.

TPG previously said that "TPG Singapore will reach EBITDA breakeven once it has acquired ~400,000-500,000 mobile subscribers".

Reference:

Considering TPG had 392,000 users as at 31 July 2021, and assuming the number of users has increased ever since, TPG probably has at least about 400,000 to 500,000 users now, which means TPG has probably reached the EBITDA breakeven.
Highly doubt 400-500k user breakeven if most of them are on $10 plan.

My personal experiences with TPG.
When TPG started free trial like 2 years ago, I had been with them.
Their coverage was not good and most underground area does not had any coverage.
So, over the 2 years, I seen how those areas with no coverage previously is now covered.
For the internet speed wise while I am outside watching youtube or surfing, it is really sufficient for me and I seldom experience lag or jerky videos.

My singtel subscriptions is around $70+ for 60gb, $5.75 for caller ID.

TPG is flat $10 for 50gb+50gb with free caller ID and free calls to mobile numbers. I seldom need to call landed line beginning with 6.

There are some basement areas which Singtel had coverage but TPG does not have. And I do encountered a few basement where TPG had coverage but Singtel does NOT have.

So, if I switch over, the monthly savings will be more than $60 per line (I had 4 lines under my name which is used by family members. Total monthly bill for these lines are around $300+. Some lines I had not ported although no more contract is because of the old phones (iPhone 6s) which they are using does not support TPG VoLTE. Need to get them new phones before I can port them over. By using the TPG app, I scare my parents might now know how to use it.

I believe the older phones can use the SIM from TPG just without VoLte that's all. I've been with Myrepublic since it launched its mobile service, and they had no support for VoLte during the early years and it didn't affect my voice calls. Note that I used the same phone pre Myrepublic days (where I had VoLte) and in the early days of Myrepublic where their service didn't support VoLte. So, just go ahead and port over the older phones to TPG.

You got voice call using older phone with MR because MR supports 3G & 4G, For TPG is a pure 4G network. With NON-VOLTE phone, you won't be able to make or receive calls... No 3G network to fall back for calls.

Actually you can have 4 lines under different telco based on need. Eg my father I sign up vivifi lite for him because he using the senior clamshell phone. We tried to teach him to use smartphone but he had difficulty. Vivifi lite was chosen because it has the most calltime.

If you are happy with TPG you can stay with them as it is really the best value. I have 2 TPG sim cards during trial. Gave up one when they start charging. I actually don't need the remaining one anymore but carry on since they so generous.

samsung note 8 ;)
chiu got see the settings for turning ON/OFF VOLTE in the sim or phone option? if have the button mean the phone have VOLTE support.

For Dual sim model, maybe only 1 sim can use VOLTE. Must see the phone how satki new tech de ma.

Meaning if chiu ish existing Starhub sim and chiu can button to turn on VOLTE and got the VOLTE icon on chiu de mobile le like that mean chiu change to TPG chiu ish also can auto have that VOLTE for calls because it ish default feature available for chiu de phone

but if chiu try to put 2 sim card meaning like 1 starhub sim and 1 tpg sim. the phone maybe can onli support 1 VOLTE sim for calls but not both.

this ish like last time mani phone ish dual sim but they don't support dual 4G sim and onli have 1 4G 1 3G.

so moi check maybe chiu de samsung note 8 ish support 1 VOLTE but not 2 VOLTE. both can't active VOLTE.

chiu can try lo moi duno chiu de phone ish single sim or dual sim slot

chiu get it?

Yes, can use the data but no VoLTE. I tested on iPhone 6s and required the app to dial.
