dump just because of broken usb port? what a waste! no lah, our Z can still charge thru the dock connector, I cut out an old USB and still able to charge it, albeit very cumbersome.

My cover took a week and FOC (I cited the lemon law since mine was <6mth at that time)

Its the usb port, the internal/center connector was broken, I guess due to wrong orientation. the port cover always get in the way, a water resistant phone like Z should have offer wireless charging out of the box, cause the dock doesn't fit any book type case.

Can tell me wheres the service center? I think its situated at orchard? would prefer somewhere less crowded, hate to fight with the traffic and people there.

Does anyone else have problem with overheating with your Xperia Z? I was driving for LNY house visiting today, so had to turn on the gps map and use power bank to make sure the battery is enough. After about 10mins, it stops to charges and turn off automatically. Then I realise its freaking hot like dunno what. Heng I was about to reach destination le. I quickly cool it down with with the car's AC while the phone is off.

Xperia Z does heat up when u play games. If you play games and charging it get even hotter. So if you use GPS plus charging

with a broken usb port and 6 months of usage, the price the buyer willing to pay isn't a lot more than dumping. I would rather buy a dock than sell at dirt cheap price if the repair cost is too high.

1) the button is good to have
2) the clip for charging which was shared by some bros here was way better than the magnetic cable charging.
3) camera is not really that great.
4) speaker is great!! Not only it below and also a lot louder.

Above is my view if you considering to so called upgrade to Z1
I love Z1 round edge with aluminum but the size of Xperia Z is just nice. FYI I own both devices and using them.

I think the Z2's coming out soon what... Why not just wait?

1. Vol button can double up as shutter button in 4.2.2

3. Sony's sensors are good... but their algorithms are horrible. So pic quality isn't too far off... (best is still iPhone imo)

I have sent my XZ for servicing due to USB cover loose, camera affecting the images with dots and call speaker is mal-functioning... so much for a flagship phone.

Actually on the ***, it's shown as updated. But when u turn on yr hp again, it is not reflected as updated.. funny
