SOS!!!

I hands itchy took my XZ for a wash in water and soap, wipe dry. Everything looks good. Then I plug in the charging clip onto the phone's charging point, the charging red LED is flickering. Flicking LED doesn't seem normal, so out of curiousity, I look up and down at the phone trying to find whats wrong. Then when I open the earphone and microusb flaps, I realise the white water test paper inside the 2 flaps are slightly pink and there is slight moist inside! I was very very very sure the flaps are tight before I wash it. I quick use cotton buds to suck up whatever I can in all corners and blow in front of fan. I plug the phone back to the charging clip and the red LED is not flickering anymore.

But I am a little worried what may have went deep into the phone. I need some recommendations what I should do now. Is it alright for me to reboot the phone? Using hair dryer to blow the slots is no good right? Because I read before the heat may burn the components. Please help... :(

those with AR Spinning issues.

niaboc79 GREAT ROM!!!!

FIX FOR AR EFFECTS:
Just open dialer and type service settings: *#*#7378423#*#* Then go to CALIBRATIONS, choose GYROSCOPE, then CALIBRATION, put the phone in horizontal stable place, for example on the floor, and click START, wait for end and then go back, select ACCELEROMETER and calibrate it same as gyroscope. HAVE FUN WITH WORKING AR EFFECTS.

I hope that this will help you.

TO niaboc79, i think that this is problem with gyroscope sensor calibrating at the rom.. :)

Thanks, if helped

HO SEH LIAOZ! :(
When I thought everything is fine already. The charging LED is not flickering anymore, the screen nothing wrong also. BUT BUT I just noticed that the front and back camera lenses have water droplets inside which is affecting the photos taken!!!
Will it help to put the phone in uncooked rice to remove moisture? I will like to try that tonight, hopefully there is miracle when I wake up tomorrow morning... The lucky thing is that it is still under warranty till March, but the feeling is sucky when a water resistance phone is actually killed by water... :( If I bring it to the Sony care centre, what is the chances they give me a 1-1 exchange on the spot? I cannot imagine having to wait more than 2 weeks without a proper phone lor. From regular Sony phone users here, would you advise me to bring it to the Wisma or Junction 8 care centre for help?

I really need help... :(

Call their hotline you mean? Or better to walk in straight with the phone? Please pardon me because I am desperate and will be asking quite a few questions hoping to get the best solution. So you mean you managed to get 1-1 exchange 3 times and eventually exchange for Z1 all for free??? My intention is really not to get upgrade or what, so I hope everyone can understand the agony...c
Actually I kana once last year after using for only 6 months, the phone just suddenly froze. Sent in for repairs, took almost 3 weeks to return, answer is motherboard burnt. Kaoz! This is the first time I use a Sony phone and such bad experience...
The phone is buried under uncooked rice now, I hope miracle will happen tomorrow morning...

Call and escalate first before you go down

Hotline they will contact decision maker while u doing other stuff

U go there and escalate means you rot and rot

They can do 1 for 1 after u escalate however it may take up to half a day from my experience say need to do some pressure test whatever to ensure is product issue

Rule 1 : never Wash with soap
Rule 2: never charge your hp (whether by dock or usb flap) immediately after washing. Even u wipe dry it's not 100% dry.

Even I observed those previously also kanna

Always kanna the same specific problem whereby the rear cover, top right loosen. Water go in from there.

They changed to new revision of the phone which supposed to address that issue. In the end I still kanna

Sibey sian. This morning the lenses still have water droplets. Brought to office everything ok, and around noontime the lenses all clean le! I was able to on off and use the phone as per normal. BUT NOW, suddenly its cranky le... The power button not responding, so I cannot sleep or off the phone, meaning the screen is on forever. Why suddenly bad, good and bad again... :(
What can I do now since the phone cannot go sleep mode? Let the battery dies off by itself?

Btw, if I call in tmr to complain and escalate, how would they know its my case when I am at the care centre and able to expedite my case?
Which care centre would u all recommend? I went to the wisma care centre previously when my motherboard burnt, and the cso told me that actually Junction 8 is their service centre HQ thus work faster if I had went there directly instead. Is this true???

Please help me...:s34:

Most of us here go to J8. Just keep complaining about it. I think some of us here manage to get parts replace or the phone 1 to 1 exchange? Not really sure.

The back vibration button like not so strong compared to before.

Hi peeps long time no see everybody how are u all?

After the recent update i also face this problem
i thought it my phone faulty so its their updates perhaps

i feel the back vibration seems weak, and sometimes never even vibrate
and some of the touch on vibration is not working anymore even when i check the vibration on touch box

Irritating problems i seem to encounter recently
-back vibration weak; or even no vibration
-touch on vibration seems to be deactivated even though its checked
-I uncheck the auto detect wifi, but sometimes it will auto detect wifi and switch to wifi instead. 3G can suddenly become WIFI, irritating i have to disable it again
-the photos in my gallery is not arrange consistently by dates sometimes, it can be very messy and jumbled, wonder what went wrong here. usually its very organisely arrange by dates

do u all face the same problem?
