Went with friend to buy Z, seem impressed with the phone.

I think the viewing angle of the phone is good, not really that bad or washed out under normal in-door lighting.

Usb otg was attached to the phone to transfer files from previous phone, works good and files transfer were nicely completed.

Found no back-up and restore app, which is available in my TX and previous XS.
But I managed to send it over to Z and restore files to the phone, no problems with using back-up and restore app on Z.

Initial impressions that the phone scrolling is quite smooth, only minor hiccups occurred while usb otg was plugged in to transfer many files (2k+).

Overall, a phone quite value for money with good specs. and considering the contract price is lesser than some of the competiting flagship phones.

Not sure what apps installed before staimna on/off dont reflect the correct standby time.

Now i discover another error msg after end call. It since like a java exception throws error. Any notice it?

I guess your phone firmware might be corrupted by some apps cos those issues you have, I never have any single of them.

I only install some of the essential apps from the Google Playstore.

You have 'small apps' to compensate for so called multiwindows, and last time I checked, multiwindows are not helping your phone to conserve much energy.

Slightly smaller screen in Z provides better ergonomics, I can hold the Z and use it with one hand. For note2, it is harder to hold and use with one hand.

There are apps to customize your notification bar. Period.

Yes. I agree with you. Multi window cannot add additional apps from the market and you can only use what is installed for you, there is no camera app under the multi window list of apps.

As for small app, you can install more apps from the market whether it is from Sony or other developer like the camera for small app which is cool!

And with some help from xda, small apps can also be used on phones with smaller screens. I would think that multiwindows will not be that user-friendly on 4+ inch or smaller screens.

I found this option in the call settings and you might want to enable to try out whether the call volume is better.

How to use Android Beam/NFC transfer between Xperia Z n Galaxy Note2/S3 etc.

1. Turn on NFC for both devices
2. Open file (i.e a picture) on Z
3. Touch Z and Note2 (there will be a sound and vibration) - You can remove both devices (no need to touch all the way)
4. Touch the file displayed on Z screen
5. File will be sent to Note 2 via bluetooth (bluetooth will be auto turned on by both devices.

NFC works by transferring files via bluebooth.... If u use bluetooth alone, it was a chore as sometimes u cannot detect the other phone on bluetooth even though both bluetooth are turned on.... NFC merely helps u to detect and connect the bluetooth together...

Yes, do a repair using PC Companion and not Factory Reset. If the firmware really got those bugs then it cannot be just happen to one or two of you and rest of us should encounter the same issues as well.

But the Backup and Restore app is in a folder. So u need to click on the folder to see the app

I checked the Xperia Z forum from Sony website and it seems quite a few have encountered this stamina mode not reflecting the correct duration.

I didn't want to try the repair mode because I realize it will wipe out my internal memory, lol.
