New Lollipop update for Xperia Z2/Z3 series changelog

– Ensured the lock screen / notification bar doesn’t indicate “no service” when the device has coverage

– Added a Sony feature; bringing back the “close-all-button” in the activity menu, so you can easily close all apps at once

– Unblocked devices with server policies (such as Exchange Active Sync for e-mail), to enable the new Lollipop lock-screen notifications

– Ensured the LED light is lit across all sound modes – and no longer offset by “silent”

– Made the necessary fixes to enable the easy movement of content from internal memory to external microSD card (something we saw affecting a few devices)

– Improved messaging functionality in Ultra stamina mode – some conversations could not be opened before in Ultra stamina mode

I got my Z two years ago in April and I am starting to experience a problem- I can't hear through the earspeaker though the other party hears just fine. Routing the audio stream to the loudspeaker is alright.

I used to suspect it was a firmware stack problem till I wriggled the earphone Jack gently during a call and realised that it got the audio back on the earspeaker. It took me a long while to narrow down the root cause because the problem wasn't reproducible.

So for anyone that has this issue, FYI.

I hope that Sony does away with the flap attachments for the Z4. Needlessly cumbersome.

I've got the exact problem and mine is bought exactly 2 years ago too. When I made phone calls or people call me, there's no sound or ring tone at all. Done reinstall of firmware but problem came back after some time.

Tired of waiting for new firmware and jumped shop to Samsung.

wonder if u will roll back to kitkat after trying out lollipop

I think once firmware repair is done all will be wiped. Haha...
