Regarding screen colour and viewing angle, it is a personal preference issue. Personally, I prefer the Zxperia natural screen colour and viewing angle. Although it is not the best viewing angle, it does deter a bit but not totally from busy body people looking at your phone while you are doing your stuff. But of course, privacy screen protector is the best solution. Samsung screens were so vibrant until some photo looks like graphics. So pick correctly whichever you want in your phone functions in order to decide the purchase. Maybe by April when Samsung launch its eight core S4 and maybe everyone start selling away their Zxperia, S3 and Note 2. There will never be an ultimate phone. Buy what you really like.

Well, don't quote me if I am wrong, but when I went for recontract I requested to change my SIM to an NFC SIM. The M1 guy consulted the training officer and told me it doesn't support NFC

So I shot back by showing the NFC sticker on Yuga's back, and pointed at the redeem voucher, telling him the headphone is NFC kind too.

Then he paicked and said thetraining officer is sure cannot use.

So probably it is just that NFC payment is not supported for Yuga?

Anybody with NFC SIM try go McDonald's and try buy an upsized Double Quarter Pounder meal with Coke and report back to us ma? Cos if can I will go back to the same branch and point fingers at that guy. =X

By right, the NFC SIM is used for visa paywave... but maybe haven approved by authorities yet.. 2nd usage is for ezlink cards.. yet, it is still under testing... only a few phones are approved to be *compatible* with visa paywave..

I m encountering bright pixel issue on my screen. Called them and was informed that no spare part to change. Quite Sianz also. And the CSO have the cheek to tell me that I should have marched back to the dealer whom i bought the phone from to do an exchange.

I was like WTF. Not everyone have the luxury of time to move around. Got to Work to Eat man. Some ****ty customer service experience.

Weird thing I noticed. When phone at 100%, all led notifications are ok. When drop to 60 or 70%, notifications no longer there. Lols

Not true. I just tested my Xperia Z and my Battery is 58% then the led notification light still light up when I have incoming sms.

No problem, the vibration is quite strong.

Maybe u should do a factory reset. or anyone got ideas what happened?

Mine is just normal settings, data on. But Bluetooth, NFC, Wifi all off as i am at home. I have my browser, mail, messaging all on.

More than 12 hours now, with moderate surfing, SMS, whatsapp, emailing still got 55%

How about your overnight, u said drop only 5%. So want to know how u do it? as my overnight drop almost 20% with data on, email still running.

Led Notification

Hello All. For those with notification LED problem even after factory reset,

Please use PC companion and select 'repair' under Phone Software Update. After which, It should be working just fine.

Use this method when Factory Reset Method don't work.

Anyway, Issue kind of resolved. Sony will reserved a new screen for me once the parts arrived (Mid March) and will inform me to proceed to Bishan to change it.

Spoke to the dealer as well, must say he is good. Offered to change the phone for me but I declined as I took Sony's offer. But should I take up his offer, I might have to wait for weeks as he feedback to me that supplier might take their own sweet time.

Well, just live with it for the moment. Anyway once the adaptive lighting option is enable, the bright pixel cannot be seen. it is only visible when I on that option and blast the brightness to the MAX.

But overall despite the lousy experience so far, I have nothing much to complaint about the phone. Solid piece of gadget. prefer the screen over my old S3. The photo taken are more natural in color. The only drawback is the slow shutter speed but that is acceptable for me.

How come there seems to be quite a few issues with the Z so far. Is this normal for 1st batch phones?
