Went to Sony care yesterday to ask the repair cost. The person say should be under $200 and he will update me the exact price when he find out as mine is thefirst case. Also the part will arrive ard 2 - 3 wks later. Will update here again if they ever reply with a more exact estimate/price.

For those who want picture, i dun wan waste my time entertaining those who are here to see show. Believe or not is up to you.

I sharing this info for the rest who have contributed their review and feedback and strongly advice you to at least get a bumper. Not sure if it help but given that top left corner edge at the earphone area was shattered heavily, i think a bumper might have help to diffuse some impact away and could have save it. My front screen is totally fine and i am still using it. So sorry as well for the rest since i will not upload the pic. But you can try your luck searching the web. I have whatapp my friends the pic maybe they have shared it via FB or somewer. FYI, i am using a white Z.

But for those see show one, you can make a deal with me to sponsor 50% of the final repaired cost. And you can take all the exclusive pic you want of my Z's cracked glass back at Sony care.

we gotta be fair to Sony though - this is probably the only mainstream mobile phone brand that makes their phones water/dust resistant. I just hope they would change their screen type... TFT really appears to be weakest display around. imagine SLCD3 with BE2 *drools*

s4 99% confirmed Exynos Octa, how to fight sia..

Why would you want to compare their processors with Snapdragon? If their processors are good then why other brands like HTC etc not using their processor but rather stick to Qualcomm.

Their Quad Core processors already having issues and also battery draining so I rather Sony use the well-known Snapdragon. =:p

taken from xda.

Another quick way to ensure that your screen is ok is the service menu,
directly from the dialer press:
*#*#7378423#*#*

Yeap. For Sony phones, pls dial *#*#SERVICE#*#* and choose SERVICE TEST. Recommended to do this while on the shop checking for your phone. The last time i bought one, i stared at the screen under "display test" and scroll through the colours for dead/stuck pixels.

There is no doubt there hardware wise Galaxy S4 will blow the competition, what is more important is the physical appearance, if its gonna plastic again then I will be very happy with my my purchase (XPERIA Z)
And I highly doubt that they will use premium material this time !!

exlcusivity? costs? its a well known fact that Exynos has always outstripped snapdragon, even in day to day usage. battery draining is because of firmware. the current batch of quad core exynos is pretty effecient in the battery usage area....my previous S3 LTE can get close to 3 hours of screen on time @ 40% brightness...this is of course after some tinkering

the new snapdragons are pretty darn powerful though. tried the hands on with HTC ONE and its response and smoothness beats the XZ in my opinion

Compare for what??? After jumping from a crap Tegra2 phone to a snapdragon phone, I finally understand this thing call "Support", Nvidia dont care a **** about what any after support, at least this QuadComm care enough to release a batteryGuru application to help maximize battery life. That my friends is more important than fantastic specs on paper.

Snapdragon or Exynos, the most important is what the OEM is able to do with the CPU SDK after the phone has been release. Note that I mentioned only "Snapdragon or Exynos" and not Tegra, those who have used Tegra phone in the past should know why.
