quite a lot of complaints on asus sg facebook; it's possible the email went to your spam folder; if not, contact asus for them to doublecheck

More like it's Asus who are not bothering. I emailed them when they first posted on FB and they admitted their mistake and told me I would receive an email 'soon'. Now can you guess what I'm gonna say next?

looks like stocks are low even in taiwan, in link below, there's an announcement that says something to the effect of "if you ordered before 18 april, you will get it around 9 may"

at least do something on your own part(for your case u did something) rather than to wait and wait n then kpkb why this why that. People waiting to be spoon fed all the time dont deserve jack ****.

As of now is the 1GB RAM & 8GB Memory one, hopefully they will bring in the better spec one though. If that is the case i will forgive them for the delay in availability hahaha

just bought one ASUS zenfone 5 with Intel Atom Z2580 and 16GB. Quoted at RMB1390 but bargain down to RMB1299. Limited sets in Guangzhou as well. The ASUS shop said they received around 20sets only in gold, black and white. Only gold left now.

Will buy a cover from taobao and put screen protector tomorrow.

For the Zenfone 5 launch here, they will only have the black and white sets.. red ones will be available only later as mentioned in the HWZ review (link above)

price wise, not all tat interesting but u got to use it weeks before us.

ya i got that email. but it doesn't say when release. I have emailed them, pm n fb them. all no reply. their only reply to most of us is..... soon, soonest. -.-

Just ordered a Zenfone 5,2gb ram 16gb rom gold set from taobao.cost rmb 1059 with some useless gifts. quite hot stuff there.will probably receive it 2 weeks later.

Received my Zenfone 5 2Ghz, 2G Ram and 16G ROM model from China.







Dual SIM (micro) slots, BOTH supporting 3G and a micro SD card slot



To answer a question posted earlier, yes the Zenfone 5 comes with a 1.35A USB charger




Here's some bad news for anyone thinking of getting this top of the line Zenfone 5 model from China. China's Zenfone 5 comes with a different ROM! U dont get Google Play Store, Gmail and any of the Google services. What is worse, u cannot simply install Google Play apk into the phone. It will not run!




The good news however, is u can fix it with a bit of time. U'll have to download the International ROM version, rename the file to trick the phone and MANUALLY flash it. I did it and the phone is working great. Running the latest V0430 ROM, the phone is blazingly fast and fluid! No slow downs or occasional stuttering as reported in one review.



Will comment more about it as i spend more time with this phone.
