Singapore still getting old stock which is like placed in Second tier as compared to Taiwan and China. Imagine paying only 2GB/8GB, while in Taiwan can get 2GB/16GB and at with a faster processor.

Only difference is the warranty. Well for that price, i am happy to forgo the warranty and will be getting a few more sets for my colleagues on my next trip.

My order on taobao for my zen case and bumper case on 19th June still not shipped out yet. Crap! Credit card already charged, can I ask for a refund?

Go to your order summary page.
There one selection: "申请退款".
Select: "仅退款". Type in why cancel order reason.
And send...

I have no complains with my phone.

good for you if you travel often to Taiwan and China but for the rest of us who don't, we don't really care either.

I just need a reasonably budget phone that works and one which is not a xiaomi and I got it.

yeah got an awesome phone for myself too, first time i am using a phone manufactured by asus! :s13:

Seems like Taobao can easily get the 2gb/2ghz model for about 220SGD.

For the price your paying for this..how come dunt want just get the mi3?

Most of the early adopters paid early bird price ($199), and not $249. Also, mi3 is not dual-SIM, which some users require...

mi3 has no micro sd expansion which is crucial for most users who tend to use their phones as a main media device.

the pricing of $199 made a big difference for the additional 1gb of ram and a slightly bigger screen. its value for money as compared to the version with only 1gb of ram, probably the reason why redmi doesn't perform that well is due to the lack of ram and a weaker processor (though the intel process in zenfone is around the same range anyway).

hopefully asus has improved on their QC considering the bad after service that some of the padfone owners experienced in the past. or rather hopefully we don't even have to make any visits to the service centre either!
