Need some help bros, can't decide if I should get the Zenfone now or wait till tuesday to 'try' and get a xiaomi note, is there much difference between both phones?
then i suggest you get some hands on with both phones to better make your decision.

for user experience of the note, you probably have a better understanding at the redmi note thread outside by those who have bought that phone from china.

I am not sure what you planning to do but both are difference segment on the board except the price.

For me, I will pick Zen anytime… but this is quite a personal preference.

Mi Note is bigger in screen and using a mediatek octacore….

Zen is a 5” with Intel atom dual core with Errr threading ....

Performance wise only the bros’ who brought can advise you.

I will admit this much, my decision to buy the zenfone was purely an aesthetic decision :s13:

Hmm, I'm actually planning to use either 1 of these phone as a temporary phone as the spare phone I'm currently using (Samsung Galaxy S) is really too slow and it keeps restarting by itself. I will be using the new 'temp' phone till the end of the year which I will get a smaller phone (preferably the iphone6) and use the 'temp' phone like a media player, mainly to watch videos and games, maybe even music.

But how big is the iphone6 actually?

S3 - try custom Rom from xda. Do a simple google each 'xda i9000'if still restart then it's time to let it go...
Media player - you need good battery. I suspect zenfone won't work too well though I have no problem for normal use. Try those newer phones like sony z2 for good display and battery but be warned...it can be too bright. I generally feel more comfortable with zf5 than my z2.

Kudos!!! Especially if its red!

Red is cool. Think Ferrari. Anyway always have casing on so won't be able to see too much of whatever colour.

I ordered Red 2Ghz 2GB from Tw >2 weeks back and will be passing this 1.6GHz 2GB to my son. Originally meant to give red one to my wife but she going m8.

Those interested can try this...http://store.asus.com/index/A12023

Need Taiwan issued credit card and address. Got a friend to do it for me.

Did I get it wrong? GALAXY S = i9000

Thot maybe he can rescue with a custom updated ROM from xda.

I had same phone i9000 before and there are lots of custom ROMs for this and subsequent iterations.

IPhone is probably over-hyped today and I think I m better off with 2 androids than a half and half unless you have been a IPhone user in the past and feel locked-in.

I have never been an IPhone user. Impressions from people I know who have switched out.
