the price for ZF6 has been updated to 329 on Asus estore.
i suspect new stocks have arrived and should be available soon at that price.
slightly unfortunate for those of us who didnt get the earlier promo price.

Guys, is it normal for the battery from 100% drop to 93% within 15mins upon charging?

Please be patient and don't rush and get one with such pricing =>$329. Price of ALL Electronic Gadgets will drop over time. Wait for a few weeks and the price will eventually drop...

This rule wont apply to Asus SG. They will stick to the RRP and by controlling the amount of local sets being distributed to external vendors, buyers either resort to getting cheaper export sets or buy from Asus online but pay the RRP set by Asus. If you dont believe, you can check and see that not many places outside are selling the zenfone, and those that do are selling it at RRP and not one cent cheaper.

Please check =>Zenfone 5 Retail : $249 or $219. Online $219. Today Adv : $199 only. HPs are highly competitive & retailers will lower prices to get customers even BIG retail stores. Not many people recognize Asus phone & retailers do not want to take risk in keeping Asus HP. That is the main reason why you can't see Asus HP everywhere. Samsung HPs are everywhere and the price difference can be $50 to $150 on the same model. You need to look around to get the best deal. Asus HP will not survive if they don't do that and asus have no control as how much the retailers will sell. EVEN Xiaomi, the king of most value for money HP, WILL lower their HP price if the market condition changes.

What more can I say!!! If Asus sells zenfone 6 @$329. I WILL not buy as I know it is not value for money anymore. Furthermore, Asus HP has NO resell value at all unlike APPLE HP.

You talk like you know alot but actually you dont. You have already contradicted yourself when you compared retailers to phone manufacturers themselves. Outside retailers/vendors can adjust their prices accordingly to get more business. They do not strictly follow the RRP set by the phone companies. On the other hand, it is normal practice for phone companies to stick to their RRP for no matter how long. Its called price control. Dont believe me then take a look at how companies like LG, Samsung advertise their off-contract handset prices. Even 1 year old models are still being priced at their original RRP. Just becuz xiaomi has a habit adjusting the prices of their older models doesnt mean other companies adhere to similar practices.

Anyway, we are talking about Zenfone 6 aint we? If you have information, then why dont you lead the way by telling us where is selling LOCAL SET for below the RRP of $329? And yes, i have been looking around. Authorized asus reseller at SLS is selling for $329. Went to this Starhub authorized partner and they are selling it for $369. Considering that popular handphone shops like redwhite, hi-tec and kasia are not selling this phone, it seems like Asus SG are controlling the availability of the phone. Which in turns mean they can also control the price.

This phone suit my need but every time I unlocking the screen. Very very sensitive. Every time must RUB RUB before it can be use normally.

Another reason was refund I can use $199 buy xm since they selling 10k set on Tuesday. Another $100 buy other thing. Worst come to worst I can't get xm. I buy another zf6 online with sosoon $10 voucher off.

Now is waiting for them to contact me about the return.

Sorry I don't claim myself to know a lot. I simply use my common sense to observe this particular industry. Also I did not contradict myself but you are. What I am interested in is the final price that I can get and it makes no difference to me whether the price is from the HP manufacturers or the retailers. At least you agree with me that HP makers has no control on how the retailers sell (remember you said Asus HP price not dropping) their HP and so what makes ASUS so special??? Asus controls the HP price will eventually die faster as Asus is not Apple. Asus does not own Android OS whereas Apple owns iOS. Asus is not only competing with Apple but Samsung, LG, HTC , XiaoMi, One+, OPPO, & the list goes on.

In my opinion, Asus should focus on increasing market share and not controlling price as this is suicidal. Build up a pool of loyal fans as what Xiaomi is doing. For such entry to mid level HP, price dictates everything even by a mere $30. Look at the postings in this thread, Zenfone 6 is competing with XioaMi Note. $329 to $199, you do the math XiaoMi Note will outsell Zenfone 6. I could be wrong and I do not claim to know a lot. Singaporeans are willing to waste more than half an hour in a queue for a Zenfone 5 which is about $20 difference!!! Some of the XiaoMi fans bought more than one Note because it is cheap and value for money.

I know one big retail store sells Zenfone 6 (white version with local warranty) for $299 and the ASUS stores are selling $329 in the local IT mall. Since you are the expert in this area you should know the big retail store that I am referring to. So much for your claim that Asus is controlling the price and not dropping a cent.

If Asus management in SG thinks that Zenfone series is a better product than the competitors by controlling the price and hopefully Zenfone can sell more. I would consider them living in the stone age.

yawnzz....another one of those pampered babies who like to take xiaomi and compare it against everything else. In that case just go buy your xiaomi lor. You claim you dont know alot but you sure like to make a whole lot of assumptions leh. The 1st 2 paragraphs of your reply is a sure indicator that you think you know alot:s13: And btw i also know 1 place that sell white local set for $299 BECAUSE I WAS THE ONE WHO POSTED THAT INFO IN THE 1ST PLACE. But otherwise do you know any other? And fyi, $329 has been the RRP since the phone's release was announced here. $299 was just an introductory offer price and now they are just reverting to the RRP. If 20 bucks difference is a deal breaker for you, then i am just so glad you move on to whatever other cheaper brand you decide to get instead. Asus wont be missing you.

Just to let you know that you can't use the $10 voucher for Asus zenfone 6. Pls check with them b4 you make another order from Asus. You might feel being cheated...

Anyway not gonna argue with you anymore. The phone only been out for less than 1 month so if anybody thinks the price gonna drop anytime soon then better dream on. Until local sets are sold by external shops/vendors, the price will be controlled by Asus. Otherwise there is always the cheaper option of export sets.

HaHa... The way you presented youself... I almost wanted to laugh...HaHa...I just added this "If Asus management in SG thinks that Zenfone series is a better product than the competitors by controlling the price and hopefully Zenfone can sell more. I would consider them living in the stone age."

I have been using Asus notebook for more than ten years and it had been my number one choice. Since Apple dropped price for MacBook air with state of art technology in MacBook Air. I would say I am more than happy to use MacBook Air than Zenbook ( which is more expensive and mechanical HDD not SSD). More than 10 hours of battery usage and about 1.3kg weight. Can Asus do it?

I rest my case... Have a nice day... Let others be the judge.

299 vs 329? isnt the price difference $30? and no more free flip view cover? so its $30++?

Asus will probably sell zf6 at cheaper price in the future, but by then zf6,7,8 will be out? so why bother to wait?

If you feel the price is right, then just hoot lor... wonder if i should go try redmi note on tues? But i'm now more interested in their powerbanks :D
