my battery life for 4.3 can easily yield 4-5 hours screen time however after 4.4.2 only can last for about 2 hours screen time =/

less than 1 day usage now...

try restarting your phone?

a clean flash might fix it as well

Hope that there will be more cases for the ZF6, I've been looking around for a rugged case like the UAG.

Cool but might be consuming more power Asus, i'm your zenfone's fan, i admire it most, overall, except for the battery. Yes, these phones are awesome, their features, performances etc, but how can we enjoy that awesome stuffs you gave with these phones if battery don't last longer. It's like enjoyment lasts quickly. I still hope you awesome guys would fix this issue. Thanks and God Bless.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually, this is a known issue and we are actively working on the fix, I believe you’ll receive another update soon. Please stay tuned.

Just installed the latest update......Android System usage went from 48/49% to 24/25% :D
Will monitor the overall battery drain for a couple of charges....

If you see the battery history chart, can see the gradient become more gradual after the update, very obvious to spot. :)

Very very happy with this phone.

Anyone knows how to get Asus update alert to the notification bar instead of checking and clicking the "check update" tab.

i also want to know that. haven't seen any benchmark comparisons. but might depend on person's usage. want to play games etc a lot, then better get 2 GHz

will 2 GHz one eat more battery too for the same task ?

I have both the 1.6 and 2.0 version...so far didnt really notice much difference in day to day usage and playing Asphalt 7 and 8.

Anyone got problem using Share Link?

I am using wifi direct to share with another device. Although connected, the phone is unable to send or receive photos. It appears that the phone mac address is different from the one stated in the phone system.

Any idea how to rectify?

Thanks.

So far seems like Asus is pretty prompt with update and fixes with the Zen series. :)

Standby mode battery is stable now. But usage still drain very fast. Screen on only 3 +hours using 3g surf + play games. Android system and android os and cell standby still taking a lot of %. Screen brightness 20%

Be careful with Location services, it will not stay at Battery Saving but instead go to High accuracy if you toggle on and off the location services.

I have both. The Zenfone 6 is much better. Smoother and faster. The Xiaomi Note can be laggy at times. Don't know why. The Zenfone is worth the extra $100 over the Xiaomi. Furthermore both of its dual sim slot is 3g capable unlike the Xiaomi. I've got a colleague who sold off his Galaxy Note 3 for the Zenfone 6. Says the battery lasts longer and the larger screen is awesome.
