It boils down to which size you like more. Zenfone 5 is better as a phone but Zenfone 6 is great as a phablet. They are both running on identical UI but Zenfone 6 runs on faster processor. If you want LTE, then it's Zenfone 5. If you want dual-SIM, then you have to forgo LTE.

as long as u get from the reputable shops [e.g. mobilesquare, whymobile, mobyshop, etc], shouldn't have problems

note: price you see on their website is cash [pay more for nets or credit card payment];

when i purchased previously, asked them for stock status, then go downstairs to "draw" money from ATM, then back up to pay and get phone :)

Thanks caterham7. This is helpful cos the price difference is about $14 which i could get a screen protector haha. Initially not sure whether to take the risk. Thanks again

Asus Zenfone 6 Camera

I bought the zf6 a few days ago and have taken some photos.

I am puzzled why the exif data show aperture f2.2 when it should be f2.0 as stated by ASUS in its official site and also review sites.

I downloaded photos from review sites including HWZ and exif data show aperture f2

I look up Asus online chat this morning and feedback the issue and the service agent said the matter will be escalated to higher management.

Dear forumers who have this device kindly verify if your photo exif also show aperture as f2.2. Thanks.

If 4.3 performs fine leave it at that. I owned a few devices originally with 4.3 and later updated to 4.4 and I absolutely hate it that so many limitations/restrictions are imposed by 4.4 rendering all third party apps unable to access or modify content on ext SD.

f/2.0 for mine

Hmmm.. so the camera module device is defective? Or exif data incorrect..?

The photos do come out fine and seeing those discrepancy made me feel no good.... like asus has shortchanged me.....

Mine is same like yours yacomsg. f2.2

Dear friend,

I dig further into this issue. I open the photos of ZF6 in Photoshop and the EXIF Info show the F-stop as 2.2 but Aperture Value as 2.0.

Now I'm really puzzled.....

Yeap. So got bug in this firmware?

Just now I downloaded EXIF Viewer in my PC and show the following info too:
f-stop: 2.2
Aperture value: 2.0

Don't know what things cock up....

Not sure myself. If more owners on 4.3 & 4.4 could input their value maybe could get a better picture haha.

For me, now the camera works fine :)
