What is nice to do, to eat and to go at Okinawa. I may need to be there for 3 days 2 night.

History of OKINAWA. Okinawa is surrounded by beautiful oceans and blessed with a superb natural environment. The islands were once a small independent nation called the Ryukyu Kingdom. Absorbing the influences of China, Southeast Asia, Japan, and America, it cultivated an abundant culture of its own.

my colleague went recently and came back raving about the good deals in the outlet shopping there maybe you can go shop shop till you drop

I guess i will stay in Naha area. I assume this the central. Was an impromptu thing. Some North Asia team building activity for my coy.

I will go to Tokyo from Okinawa then fly back to SG.

Stay in Naha for sure, maybe drive up to american village and aeon rycom. The outlet shopping is really good, thats near the airport. If u rent from OTS its just opposite their airport collection outlet.

This time no one driving. We were thinking what about public transport. If i like the place i will return in Nov when it is cooler.

In Naha, doable with public transport. Out of Naha, possible but not 'easy'.

Unless u plan to just stay Naha and walk the kokusai dori and nearby, there is much outside Naha.

Dun get large sedans, some of the backalley residential roads as suggested by GPS are quite tight single lanes meant for 2 way traffic. Getting onto the Okinawa Expressway is easy, with some beautiful coastal stretches up north.

Got 2.5 days in Naha. Any interesting stuff to do. Will have car perhaps but will be around that area or fringes of it.

What not to do or can skip.

nothing much there to be honest

rundown old shops.... attractions nothing to shout about, all are aged
eg america village has antique ferris wheel... might as well get on singapore flyer lah

might as well go to tokyo osaka etc, for scenery can go to other parts of japan like mt fuji, lakes etc

if budget constraint, personally, i will choose 5D in tokyo/osaka rather than 8D in okinawa

basically small city, one shopping street (kokusai dori) lined with tourist trap shops
buying things there is like buying merlion tshirt and magnet here
a lot of PRC and south east asia love to rush to the A&W, which are run by asian foreigners
if can drive or whatver, can venture further, eg america village etc but takes at least half a day to move out just to see 1 or 2 places
more worthwhile to go mainland tbh
