Old LGA1155 mobo?

Hi guys, I have a faulty LGA1155 mobo that I want to replace for my parents.

I did some searching and found a lot of China OEM brands that sells for about $50 ~ $60.

Are they trustworthy? Is it worth to do that for my parents?

was using a chinese brand lga2011 mobo for a year, then swapped it out with another one with vrm cooling, both worked well. for legacy platforms id say they are a safe bet.

Upon further digging, the China LGA1155 mobos can sometimes can be as cheap as $20 ~ $30 shipped by sea to SG.

Sounds good, just thinking whether to buy one for $30+ to replace for my parents.

They are used mobos but claim to be 90% in good condition.

Currently using a taobao bought z97 board, it has lasted over 1.5 years, bought it for about 40 to 50 bucks, it's also a used board so it's fine I guess

Better research for that certain brand heavily before installing it.

lan lan suck thumb lor. personally got a doa b450 mortar max a couple of months back, could have shipped it back to china for rma but given the shipping costs (i would have bought a local set with that money) and general uncertainty about the whole process i just sold it on carouhell for quite a big loss. this kind of thing is really see heng suay.

Buy from china rma is headache, lol. But if u want choice for lga1155 mb, aliexpress looks gd.

I really like the combo of LGA2011 and a Xeon chip but I only have mATX casing. You bought a full mobo or mATX for LGA2011?

both mobos i bought were matx compatible, though not strictly adhering to matx dimensions. the height is correct (~240mm) while the width is slightly narrower (185mm), but u can also get boards with the proper 244mm x 244mm dimensions.

My casing cannot fit full boards, not sure about slightly bigger than mATX boards though.

If not, I can still run a consumer i7 CPU but that's about the best during that era.

huh I got say slightly bigger than matx meh it is actually smaller, and fits in my matx case just fine.

Amazing thing is the mobo got a M.2 PCIE slot onboard too

If u bought a 1155 mobo from that era , none of it will come with a M.2 slot

If u bought a 1155 mobo from that era , none of it will come with a M.2 slot

so does it runs on a x1 or x2 or x4 speed??? and pci-e probably 2.0?
