May I know what is the recommend omiyage to get from Hokkaido preferably with at least a week shelf life?

Also what would be best to get for someone who is from Hokkaido but am currently based in Singapore?

I personally like Potato Farm, Marusei butter sand from Rokkatei, Shiroi Koibito, and Hokkaido Furano Jam. Pics of jam below, taken from my old thread.

They have a huge selection of flavors (more than 10), although I must say I have only seen most of them at Hoshino Resort Hokkaido. Other shops only have a portion of the total selection.

And for your Hokkaido friend, wont it be better to just ask him/her if they miss anything from Hokkaido?

How is the shelf life of these omiyage? Since I be transiting at Tokyo before coming back to Singapore so I'm not sure if it will be able to last.

And for the hokkaido friend... It's more of a surprise lol

Marusei butter sand from Rokkatei has the shortest shelf life if I am not wrong. Potato farm and jams should last pretty long. BTW when are you planning to go? If its during summer than the life span of Marusei butter sand will be cut short even more if you dont get a chance to put it into a fridge.

will be heading there during 1st week of July. Guess Marusei butter sand is out of the question than... Does those pastry shops like letao and rokkatei sell sweets with longer shelf life?

Rokkatei, Shiroi Koibito, Tokyo banana, Potato Farm, can they be found at Narita before immigration? I will be at an airport hotel on my last night so may want to buy first then pack.

These things looks like they are more for tourists rather than for Hokkaido natives. You might want to look for things that are more unique and local for Hokkaido natives.

To give an example, for Singaporeans who are staying overseas, do you think a box of merlion shaped chocolates or a packet of curry seasoning would elicit more joy from them?

All those you listed are too common and easily found in Sapporo, how about getting Yubari Melon which they do provide concierge service air flown to singapore, hong kong and taiwan only. If not buy some king crabs leg from new chitose airport. New chitose airport is a shopping heaven, all sort of souvenirs you can find such as 有熊出末ramen and etc

I will be going to Tokyo after Hokkaido so won't want to buy those stuff that cannot keep or that can be found at Narita.

I also won't be going to the airport.

Yubari Melon concierge can be found easily? About how much? Thanks :o
