I think the monitoring is fun. You also get to keep yourself updated with industry trends and news. The most enjoyable part of investing for me is making calculated bets and seeing your bets pay off.

depends on your what u invest in, if u r investing for long term, dividend or stable stocks, u jus need to check once in a while and maybe try to assess if any daily news u hear may impact the stock u hold.

im holding some of my stocks for years and i onli look at them once in awhile. i dun even know the current price of them most of the time.

concentrate on less than 10-15 stocks... that way you have a easier life.

For my long term dividend stock, I don't monitor often. Earning result out, I will read it, the rest seldom unless got any good or bad news.
Short term stock, I will monitor very often. It's fun to watch if not investing is very boring :ROFLMAO:

Monitoring and keeping up with the news is the fun part!
In the past, I totally ignored Apple product launch events. I didn't even care how the latest iPhone look like. Now, I keep myself up to date. Last year, I didn't even know Microsoft Azure is a huge player in the Cloud business. I thought it just sells Windows software. Now, I pay attention when Satya says things. In the past, I thought Intel is the biggest chipmaker, but now I realised it is TSMC from Taiwan. A Taiwanese company making advanced chip! The tech industry is just so dynamic and interesting. I enjoy learning new things.

On the dividend stocks side, I go for quality REITs and banks, so they are mostly on auto-pilot mode. Quite boring actually.

Share ur holdings ley, whats good to buy now?

You have to make assessment of your personal risk profile, investment objectives and markets you want to trade in. Good for others doesn't mean good for you.
