One thing I really don't understand between pdd and google

Since pdd and temu are under same company then why Google ban pdd but allow temu in Google playstore?

If pdd app got security risk then how google determine temu app no risk?

If temu app really no risk then why on earth pdd didn't make the pdd app safe enough to pass Google review?

Is it because purely commercial reason as Google playstore not available in China, so it make little or no benefit and returns for pdd to fix their app for playstore since international consumers already got temu. Possible due to this?

No la I'm using liao but it is just that I'm pondering over the topic why can't they get themselves on playstore.

Is just me, I tend to think deep into things to find out why understand why instead of just going with the flow.

My guess is the original PDD app has backdoor and is monitored by the PRC government. The Temu app is customised to meet the Google Play Store privacy requirements.

But if this is true, why this backdoor only exist for pdd but not temu?

And why pdd? Might as well put it in app that is sure more used by people like texting app since everyone need to communicate mah, pdd e-commerce app nia not everyone sure buy from pdd right?

There are a lot of requirements by the PRC government before an app or software could be used in their country.

A lot of international app and software have to go through their stringent checks and have to make certain customization to meet their requirements before they can be deployed in their country. One example was Google which had pulled out their software and operations from China due to that.

Precisely because pdd on IOS that's why I believe actually all these woohaa about simi not available on Google playstore end of the day is just commercial reason.

IOS is available in China but google is not mah, so pdd don't bother to cater to google waste money for what?
