Hi all,

Tryna get some info bout the phone as I'm changing from S23 due to dead pixels issue.

Looking at get the 13R however there are some things I'm worried about due to reading issues faced by older models.

The questions I have are:
- Will the Preorder set be local set or will it be global set?
- What exactly is the difference between local and global set?
- If it is global set, will local apps such as banking and singpass be unaccessible?

Tho I had a bad experience from Oneplus previously (3/4 of my screen was unresponsive after 2years of using, warranty expired just as it happened.), but willing to try it out again since Huawei still has no Google.

Oneplus SG sets are local set, aka global set la. Global set = different model number from china sets with global rom with google services ootb without requiring u go settings to enable the google services, and it supports esim. China set with global rom doesnt support esim

Everything will work out of the box for local sets rest assured. Since you are considering oneplus 13R, why not wait for promotion for oneplus 12 instead? Same chipset, better cameras etc, unless you die die need flat screen

Haha prob a good enough reason, so long as you can accept the flaws that 13R has which is other than the main camera, the other back cameras all kinda suck. Main cam's ok though

What's your unhappiness with x8 that your even compelled to change to op13/13R? 13R is definitely a downgrade, it's like Xiaomi T series to their flagship ranges. Other than a more powerful chip, I would think that OP13 is a very minor upgrade to OP12.

Hahaha my hands just abit itchy like the other bro said. I'm happy with x8 but I came from s24+ which has a slightly larger display. That 0.1 inch still makes a little difference for me. The x8 cameras shoots pretty nice photos. I think 13R camera shooter probably will lose. Unless 13 has tg, then it's die die flat screen for me.
