I got the msg too, pondering whether to get it. The last OP I used was OP8T, the pricing is not as tempting compared to VIVO X200 FE. Pondering ......

X200fe is a midrange phone though, using dimensity 9300+ which is 2 generations old by now. Also, the purpose of the model is that it is a compact phone. Flagship level of that series is x200 pro which is 1.5k for global rom model.

the 1st min of the video alr said everything: Find X is more focused on photography and Oneplus is more focused on performance/gaming. For camera specs, a google search will tell u that Oppo uses the new LYT828 at 23mm and a 200MP 3x tele HP5 at 70mm while oneplus uses IMX906 at 24mm and JN5 at 3.5x at 85mm

If you are more into camera, probably even the X9 (non-pro) will have better photos compared to Oneplus 15.

not neccesarily tbh, but probably the weakest camera part for OP15 is the tele, but the package as a whole is good enough for most situations i feel

OnePlus already stated that this is a gaming phone focused. People should've gotten the hint then.

There ain't much reviews on the X9 (non-pro), but I did saw one that say the X9 photos are not too far from X9 Pro except for the telephoto.

Also I think software side the tuning for X9 should be better than oneplus 15 for the photos. But in general, Oneplus 15 is still quite a good phone overall. Just that if you are focus on camera, you should probably go for the X9 series.

They are making oneplus into gaming/performance phone and find x series continues as camera phone. So definitely the tuning of the photos for the find x series will be much better. They probably will deliberately make the oneplus series just good enough photos for most use. So don't expect future updates to change the photo quality drastically.

It clearly means you have not done enough research yet.

OTA won't work even if you flashed a global ROM. Cause, the phone in global ROM has an esim function, that alone blocks off the OTA.

Mind you it is an endless battle.....

You unlock bootloader > root, install root modules to get back your mobile signal.

If you maintain rooted, you can get OTA. However, a lot of secured apps might not work properly. Like banking. You might need to hide root for it to work. Some apps are worse. McDonald's detect that you have a bootloader unlocked. It will not work also.

GPay also now go by unlocked bootloader cannot use. Yeah sure you can download integrity play. But that is a cat and mice game. The moment they patch it, you are in for another chase.

I won't use the phone if I have to deal so much on this. If its going to be a play phone, then be my guest.

think u don't type this kind of long post anymore.. this discussion has been done over and over again. i saw it in OP13 thread, and i still see it in OP15.

By gaming focus, i assume they will prioritise performance and cooling? But other than the latest chipset, which many other phones will have, whats special that is gaming focus. Usually gaming focus means battery life isn't a priority right?

My concern would be mainly battery. Battery capacity might not tell all. Had a realme long ago, that had decent battery size back then, but battery life was very bad. SD888, so maybe the chip has efficiency issues.

Based on reviews, oneplus 15 battery life is very good, just slightly less than X9 Pro.

I am holding both phones with me right now.

To me, FX9P battery life despite being 200mah bigger, my OP15 yields slightly better battery life though.

Other then latest chipset, they included touch response chip and wifi chip

I rmb liking huawei phone coz battery life quite good, but i suspect they are aggressively killing background activities.

Yup. that is my personal experience.

Even gaming battery drain is quite good for me as well. So I don't think you will be disappointed with it.

To add on, I have attended the launch event in MBS, they have did some optimization to ensure gaming performance with efficient power drain. This should ensure battery drain is as efficient as it can be

One of the previous OnePlus model had this issue too and there was a big hoo haha about it then. Now totally no one complained for so many years liao

Battery for both OnePlus 15 & Find X9 pro shouldn't be a concern to begin with. Both can last you up to 2 days usage on normal use.

Both should definitely last for 2 days. We are just comparing user experience, and of course slight deviation on the battery life between both phones
