haha definitely, but it doesnt apply to quite alot of ppl tbh, i said b4 my colleagues only know buying at MSRP from places like challenger/concept stores etcFor Android phones, I learnt never ever buy at the MSRP.
Although x9pro should be about 1.6k min I believe
X8 pro price still kinda high up til now though, like not much flash sale/discount, compared to oneplus 13...coz x8 pro msrp was $1649, no?
It wun probably, ultra and S series has always been china-only. And Oppo has always been pretty strict about 3rd party vendors selling below msrp, where many believe one of the higher profile ones in shopee got suspended by Oppo for selling below msrp and allowing ppl to use platform coupons. And also CN devices have always been cheaper than global units, and it dun just apply to Oppo, but almost all CN brandsX8 pro price still kinda high up til now though, like not much flash sale/discount, compared to oneplus 13...
so, if X9 pro were to price similar to X8 pro, i wonder how would they price x9 ultra if it does release globally...
yeah, i know ultra has always been china exclusive, am just wondering if oppo would make an exception for this x9 series and launch x9 ultra globally next year. if they do, curious how would they price it...It wun probably, ultra and S series has always been china-only. Pardon my ignorance, why not? Is there any difference buying from official shop and from Challengers/Singtel, etc? Is it inside components/software is different?haha definitely, but it doesnt apply to quite alot of ppl tbh, i said b4 my colleagues only know buying at MSRP from places like challenger/concept stores etc
as per what i said in the post, buying at MSRP price at retail shops. Not comparing to buying from official shop online, but more of ppl are blindly buying phones in general at MSRP price when its cheaper outside or online like shopee(with proper research of course). For my example my colleague bought S25 Ultra at MSRP of $1700 when outside sells around $1400 then. That ~$300 could be better spent buying accessories etc.Pardon my ignorance, why not? Thank you so much for the reply and insight! I'm a long time Samsung phone user, I'm still using Samsung S21+ in fact, but lately OnePlus series caught my attention as they are very well spec'd out with long lasting battery life which is important factor for me.as per what i said in the post, buying at MSRP price at retail shops. Then for Oneplus phones at least, except for those who preordering for day 1, if not, later buyers we usually recommend people to buy from official shopee stores during platform promotion periods to get the best savings.
i believe the biggest factor samsung users are not ready to move out from, is their ecosystem. The wider acceptability of samsung pay with their banks, could be a deciding factor. That really depends on you already.Thank you so much for the reply and insight! Right now, I'm contemplating whether to purchase OnePlus 15 or Samsung S26, do you have any recommendation or suggestion to advise me.
Just use OnePlus with gcami believe the biggest factor samsung users are not ready to move out from, is their ecosystem. The wider acceptability of samsung pay with their banks, could be a deciding factor. That really depends on you already.
Another one would be camera, as Oneplus isnt really best known in the market for being the best in that department. Its not bad, but its not the best either, but personally i would rate it as a decent all round point and shoot camera. Samsung probably would have better camera for the S26, though still unknown for now but would most probably be. Same goes for battery life as we are not sure if s26 would start using silicon carbon battery for higher capacity. If it doesnt, then definitely Oneplus 15 would win in that department, rumored to be min 7000mAh or 7300mAh
But for me the biggest plus for Oneplus is their current warrenty status being 2 years, and that it is directly honored by Oppo service center at Cathay while Samsung is still stuck with the standard 1 year warrenty. And personal experience with their service center is the open concept of the servicing where we see oppo technicians servicing the phones in plain sight of the customers, and possbily completing repairs in the same day if the phone is not sent in at the end of the day (mine was done in 2 hours even for a Oppo n2 flip internal screen replacement). I believe samsung still does the usual style of counter collecting your device and sending it behind kind of repair procedures.
hmmm knowing global launches, prob only black and white?
When is the launch date?
If U not those techies that want to play new tech at day 1 of course is wait, but if your said wait is just few weeks prob not too worth yet as the price prob wun come down so fast, even with platform discounts. And if u need a charger together with your phone, then preorder will then get u your charger foc, if not its seperately purchased as they dun come with charger anymoreIs it worth to preorder?
Will we get a much better deal by waiting for online sales with platform vouchers a few weeks later?
But tbh i prefer x9's red.. why oneplus just dun wan to bring it back siaSG maybe all colours seeing how SG get the leather blue for 13
