bro, how is the glass? share share. :s12:
My taobao glass n case will only arrived next week.
Ah thats good to hear, probably just need a recalibration.

Anyway..

He never mentioned anything about the home button issue or the fingerprint scanner being a hit and miss. And he's been using the phone longer than most people already. In fact if you noticed he seems to have zero problems whatsoever and the home button responds to his thumb every single time. Perhaps this one off is another manufacturing defect by OnePlus? Like how the original OPO had touch screen issues and tinting.
The video, is there glass installed?

There isn't, but users have reported that the issue is present with or without the glass. And only seems to be caused by pressing the home button while you are gripping the metal sides, leaving the phone on a table or using a case makes the home button a lot more responsive because your hands are not touching the sides.

Hopefully we'll learn more about this once more people get their invites and own the phone. If this is anything like the touch screen problems of the OPO then there's nothing much we can do to fix it, since the issue back then was clearly hardware... :/

I guess crow_nest is referring to this issue:

Any OP2 owners facing this?

And there is clearly no glass protector on this unit. Hopefully it can be fixed by increasing the touch sensitivity on the capacitive buttons, something which can be done with a rooted phone and kernel. If thats the case OP must release an OTA to fix this. But I have a feeling its got more to do with the design and grounding of the device itself. Hope not because I doubt OnePlus will honor any exchanges like what happened with the OPO.

OK op2 doesn't allow multiple scan of the same thumb. I just deleted my own thumb. Reg a new print with the glass on. Now more responsive. I think the trick is reg print after installation of glass.

For the international version, will dual sim be dual active since it has two IMEI?

For China version, will 2nd SIM default to only 2G for data?

Hi, recently got a china set, flashed with oxygenOS.

Has anyone experienced any problems with voice call? My recipients all cannot hear me when in regular voice calls (both on normal pick up and speaker phone). They describe it as either cannot hear anything, or very very muffled. I tried to troubleshoot, and found that the mic also works poorly when i use google now. It doesnt pick up my words as well as on my previous Androids.

However, when i use a voice recording app, it records everything perfectly.

I've tried this on 2.0.1 and 2.0.0. Same issue on both.

Anyone experienced the same?

Actually, they did for my case. They exchanged one of my OPO unit with a brand new set, then also refunded fully one unit.

Hopefully we'll learn more about this once more people get their invites and own the phone. If this is anything like the touch screen problems of the OPO then there's nothing much we can do to fix it, since the issue back then was clearly hardware... :/

OPO touch screen issue was indeed hardware issue for some units, but not all. For my case, it was just software issue, since it's very fluid, smooth, and responsive now (starting from CM12S).

Actually, he did mention about the home button hit and miss issue. Go and watch again from 13:00 onwards, you'll know what I mean. However, he did not emphasize it.

Was your faulty OPO bought directly from OP? Because as far as I know you cant ship it to singapore directly from OP without a forwarder. And I doubt they will entertain any scalper set.

Oh yea now I realised after watching again. Didnt realise at first because he never empathaise. Seems that his problem is unlike the ones experienced by other users, because his unit clearly works fine while holding the sides of the phone.

He may be right about this issue being fix-able by software updates for his case, but I have a feeling the units with the unresponsive home button while holding the sides are nothing more than hardware defects. OP has yet to say a word about the problem, I hope the aggressive invite roll out next week wont see a vast number of users experiencing the same problem. Not as if they've already got enough bad publicity with the invite system.
