IMO, all these are over hyped and over blown for nothing. These engineers should Get a life.

I have been using the old Samsung 2A charger and also xiaomi battery bank. Charge my 5x and OPT like 1% per min, very fast already.

How much faster we all want?

Extra 1hr won't kill since most will be charging their phones overnight.

People are dying everywhere. Stop chewing on specs and forget all about using experience. Treasure what we have and leave a memorable usage experience and not what we had.

It's not about speed its about whether it will damage the device. Anw our charger is max 2A only so no problem for charging opt using the cable but just cannot charge devices that can use max 3A current cos will damage the device

The issue with the non-spec cables is that they are using the wrong resistor in the cables. These cables have 10kΩ pull-up when it should have been 56kΩ. When such cables are used, the phone / device will draw 3A even when USB-A can go only up to 2.4A.

U know what could happen next...

*Edit: There is a CheckR android app aimed at checking if a A-to-C cable is compliant with specs.
Also, the Nexus 5X/6P and chromebook pixel can take in 3A, but only with C-to-C cable (which is provided?)

I remember the one plus cable failed to meet specs. To confirm, download the CheckR android app (search for it on PC) and run it. U will be told to replug in ur cable to confirm results. Green means specs are met, red means fail.

Thank you for your email.

All major brands of handset devices, except One Plus 2 and XiaoMi (Redmi and Redmi Note 3G), support EAPSIM authentication automatically.

For manual configuration, please click on the link below for the step by step guide to setup EAPSIM:

Its a known problem as it has dual sim. I kinda got used to it.

It's affects only the first outgoing SMS though. Once you get a reply and you answer back, everything continues on the same thread.

I've been using cheapo A to C cables (bought on TaoBao) on my Mi4C / 5X. No problem at all.

I think is more like a wu-ha to buy over-rated cables.

Yeah, out of spec cables while it works, may damage your PC port and/or charger.

In other words, since you are creating a USB Type-C plug to a USB 2.0 Micro Type-B receptacle assembly, you must use a resistor of value 56kΩ. According to our testing, your cable uses a 10kΩ pull-up, which is not legal when the other end of the cable or adapter is a legacy Type-A or Type-B connector or receptacle.

By using this cable, your phone, tablet, or laptop computer may attempt to draw 3A, which may be more than the micro-b to A cable you attach to this adapter may be able to handle. This may cause damage to whatever cable, hub, pc, or charger you plug into this.
