may i know how do you all differentiate between local set, hk set or china set? any major difference other than price?

i only saw in qoo10 w digital stating: OnePlus 7OnePlus 7 Pro* 5G Phone* 3 Month Warranty Smartphone Oxygen OS 6+128/8+256/12+256

Local set i believe is with local warranty, comes with uk 3 pin plug. Comes with oxygenOS out of box. Local warranty means covered by local service center. Any hardware failure repair is foc. Default comes with 1 year warranty but preorder comes with 1 + 1 year warranty total 2 years but much more expensive, u pay about 150 to 170 extra for it

HK set no local warranty unless stated 3 months warranty by the seller and NOT covered by local service center and comes with 3 pin uk plug. Comes with oxygenOS out of box. Hardware failure will send back to Oneplus service center in hong kong for repair. Shipping fee ownself bear unless is within the 3 month warranty period or u upgrade to 1 year warranty

China set comes with 2 pin china plug, still can be used in singapore but need a adapter. Comes with hydrogenOS out of box but seller will unbox it and flash it to OxygenOS for u. Hardware failure will send back to Oneplus service center in china for repair. Shipping fee ownself bear unless is within the 3 month warranty period or u upgrade to 1 year warranty which same as hong kong set is covered by the seller. and this is usually cheaper then hk and local set

For myself, i go for export set as it is cheapest and the local warranty is questionable, u wont know it will be like another euro cellular which close down. So what for you pay additional for this.

So far i can vouch for quality of oneplus phones. I have friends with op3t and still using it till now. Those are china sets too

wow thanks super clear! i didn't notice of plug differences so ownself need to get travel adapter for china set (which is ok since i got one at home)

oohh so china set is seller help to flash fr hydrogen to oxygen os while hk set is already oxygen os out of box! seems like no advantage to go for hk set since after flashing to oxygen os, they are exactly the same?

warranty wise, i guess doesn't matter hk or china since is 3mths warranty! sg set too expensive and warranty is almost non-existent fr what i remembered fr previous pages. ok so if hk set price can fight with china set, i guess it is overall better due to uk plug to suit our house and also phone already comes with oxygen os inside. but i don't see sellers selling hk set or idk how to see maybe lol

frankly, i've no qualms for china set as most phones are mic le, so long the phone can call, connect 4g data and last me 2-3years i v happy~

i believe you totally - because got friend using OP5 till now and so far is happy with the phone

Yes what u say is correct bro

I myself don't use warp charging unless required. So the charging head doesn't really matter to me. And u can always buy a 3 pin uk warp charger one which still cost cheaper then a hk or local set overall

Cost of HK set > china set, I don't think you will get a HK set.


Anyway look like a lot hoot the Qoo10.sg listing in Quube, base price increase from ∯499 to ∯540+ liao.
