Same, this is my first ever Android phone since iPhone 4S (I upgraded iPhones ever year) and I don't really notice there's no notification light. But the badge count was an issue to me. I tried several launchers and finally settled on Evie Launcher which shows badge count.
I'm taking some time to get used to the phone, not only with all the different functions but also the size of the screen. The largest iPhone I've used was iPhone 6+ but I found that unwieldy. Surprisingly this OP7P is more manageable.
The screen is really marvellous though. Much sharper than iPhone X. Btw I got my TPG from this store called Mobilelite on Qoo10. I've been using their TPG since 2 years ago and the smoothness and quality are unparalleled for the price. As I didn't know how to fix it with glue + UV, the seller offered to meet me to do it. Total $32.90. Not an advertisement but public service announcement
Battery life is fine, have to charge just once a day with moderate use.
Face unlock is cool but eerily fast - sad to say I've disabled it as the sound is a bit jarring when I unlock my phone in the middle of the night.
Haven't really tried out the camera but no issue as I'm not a photog junkie.
I do miss a couple of things in an iPhone such as tap the top of the phone to go back to top of the page. I tried a few unpaid apps to do this but haven't found one that's suitable.
Also have to download Google keep notes for a note taking app and Microsoft To-do for reminders (didn't want to tie this to Google calendar)
