In fact not just Singapore, all telco (except T-mobile in US) are not selling OnePlus. It's quite a logical reason as they don't want to compete with their parent brand, Oppo. The business model is different.

I knew they are under oppo but didn’t know that would be the reason. Would be great if telcos sold oneplus. Would be a hot favourite, i think.

It's their business model. Oppo created the Oneplus sub brand mainly for online sales only. It's been like that all along. It's only recently (since 6T) that they partner with US telco T mobile. It makes sense to do it in US as Oppo branding in US is not like Asia whereby Oppo branding is already well known. Chances are you will only see Oneplus physical shops and telco only in western countries whereby Oppo branding is not well known. Asia countries you will probably not seeing it... To them, they rather have Oppo phones selling like hot cakes than Oneplus as the revenue is better.

Market too small for them. Most sinkies prefer to get ipone samseng hw because can take Swee Swee photos to show off can beat your phone  Op cam is mediocre so won't be number 1 choice in people's mind

On the flip side of getting an average camera, it is the os that op shines brightly. Hardly few people is aware. Some never even heard of oneplus existence. Having own this phone for almost 3mths, it brings greater joy than samseng or ipone. Personally not a photo fan, thus focus not on cam but other features. Buy phone is really depends what's your needs :o I want it fast, not too costly, no curbed screen and good features (bonus).

i don't think in term of hardware OP camera is inferior to those of huawei or samsung. OP uses the same Sony sensor as Huawei. if you compared OP7 Pro with Huawei P30 Pro hardware spec on the triple camera -- main, ultra-wide and telephoto, almost the same spec. the only different probably the Cam app only. having both the stock cam app and GCam app, i can tell you the image quality from GCam app is much better than those of the stock cam. the only advantage is via the stock cam app, you can manually select to use the ultra-wide angle cam. for GCam app can't do it unless you unlock OP7 and change some setting so that 3rd party cam app is able to select the camera to be used.

Oops I'm speaking for op7, not the pro :o

Mmm personally don't think it's fair to use gcam as comparison bc not many are savvy to download apk and change settings etc. These days people want to buy and use immediately right out of box experience. gcam is 3rd party and maybe unstable. Got diff gcam packs too, that time I search and duno which one to follow then forget it in case mess up phone and duno how to fix

i'm definitely leaving iphone this time round and currently tempted to get N10+ during this 9.9 sale but something tells me it's worth waiting for 7T (non-pro). flat display, 90hz, triple camera, seems perfect to me. what do u guys think?

If not in a hurry can wait, but I'd go with the non T version since there won't be significant chipset upgrade given the same price paid :o just my personal preference to get best bang for bucks~

can compare using open camera app which is freely downloaded from google play. open camera is one of those highly regard cam app. you can see the difference between open camera app and the stock cam app. :)

btw i'm not really a big fan of mobile phone cam as i strongly believe the best quality is from the camera whereby you have to play around the Aperture, ISO and Shutter speed to get the best quality (is fun too) but nevertheless the quality coming out from OP7 Pro somehow did impress me too :)

U mean the op7t non pro version will cost the same as op7 pro when it comes out later part of the year?

I certainly hope not but we can expect an increase over OP7.

Man. Tot I should wait for 7t.but if price gonna increase, think I might as well use the 9.9 deal to buy a 7pro now. Enjoy the phone first. But really don't feel for the curve screen man

Thought OnePlus CEO twitted about cheaper OP7T over current OP7. Not sure he talking about pro version or not

Let me try find the article

He means that oneplus 7t will be a cheaper 90hz screen device vs oneplus 7 pro. Jigh chance it's going to be more expensive than current oneplus 7. If not he should just say maintain the price as oneplus 7.

If 7T really gets the same things as 7 Pro (not 7T Pro), I think that’s the perfect OnePlus phone. Flat display, 90hz, triple camera.

Same la haha, buy phone is use stock cam immediately le. Where got so much time to search for cam app.

I'm using the normal op7 version so can't really say the photos got impressed me that much  maybe the pro version is able to do that which I'm not v sure :o

U mean the op7t non pro version will cost the same as op7 pro when it comes out later part of the year?

Oops I mean the op7t version will be the same price as 7 when it first launched. But then 7 and 7t should have the same snapdragon chip. So you're literally half a year late in tech, and then a better chipset is coming for op8 nx year - even paying a bit more also for that incremental improvement is worthy imo
