Have to tap the screen first or press the power button , damn troublesome.

On another note I managed to change to oxygenOS for my Shenzhen OnePlus 7T! Seriously Huawei xiaomi should all do the same and allow change to global Ron!

Just read from xda. Apparently they made this as not to put strain on front camera to always detect the face. Hence power button is to trigger front camera to perform face unlock.

Hopefully they could add it as a option soon, this is my 1st oneplus, the fact they allow change to global rom is wowing me over

My 7T came with OxygenOS, works perfectly
Only thing is that charger will be China plug

Most likely unseal and then seal back. I also bought mine from Qoo with oxygen OS and sealed box

Are you running the force dark mode? If yes. This might be the issue. Some of the application does not support it fully.

Can you get face unlock to trigger without tapping the screen first or pressing the power button? On my xiaomi and huawei face unlock works just by lifting the phone to face

Then it is not a force. I am not too sure whether is it the recent whatsapp issue. Seems to be having issues on oneplus phones.

Now just raise phone will do face unlock

no need fo overpriced UV SP. Go shopee do a search for UV sp, you will find plenty less than the fraction of the cost of what WSD charges and the quality is good. I am using one from there now.

Key downside for me was the curved edges
