haha. so far still okay la. they always make it easy to convert from HOS to OOS, and bootloader is easy to unlock also. Those with China set with OOS don't have issues with OTA so far also since the early OP days.

Xiaomi used to be ok, but then they started all their weird program and make you wait to unlock bootloader, then change to global already can't lock bootloader, if not can't boot. So stopped buying china set for xiaomi already. too much hassle.

Yup, had a nightmare weekend unbricking my mother's Xiaomi note 5. Had to pry open the back cover and flash via test point / edl mode. Almost had to pay a Russian dude to do it, but he had too many phones to unbrick that day.

On the contrary, flashing my wife's 7T to OOS was so smooth! So I'm supporting oneplus by buying another set for myself


No more Xiaomi from now on

performance is great... apps need to get optimized for android 10 though.. some crashes here and there.
very loud speakers (or mebbe coming from the mate 20 pro which is very soft for me)
GPS sucks though (waze keep dropping)
and lastly, battery life not that great (well for a $700 phone )

would appreciate if anyone got ideas about the GPS...

OOS comes with playstore, HydrogenOS no playstore and only used in China where google is banned
