Anyone realised that the camera no longer recognizes QRcodes vs OOS10? I mean my 7T can use stock cam to scan qr code like an iphone does. But 8T can't.

Posted from PCWX using 1+8T

In camera app, left side of the shutter button got the google lens icon.

Tap that to use google lens to scan QR code..

Hi guys, hijacking thread just to ask, what is OnePlus's update policy for their phones? ATM I cannot find a definitive answer. e.g. OnePlus will provide security patches for 3 years since launch.

I'm unable to get Google Lens to work under dark mode, screen becomes black.

Once off dark mode, the screen comes back

Which firmware are you on? I'm on dark mode set to manual not auto and Google lens is working fine.

It is me or RealmeX7Pro looks exactly like OP8T.
Even spec is the same (beside processor)

From wikipedia:

BBK Electronics Corporation markets smartphones under the Oppo,[4] Vivo,[5][6] OnePlus,[7] Realme and iQOO brands. :s13:

Haha make sense then.

But RM X7 Pro's MT 1000 loses. But pricing should be lower.

If pricing is really good will be a good consideration for parent's phone. 2300 RMB or ~ 460 SGD.

Any recommendations for a second charger? For the office so 65W is not necessary. Should I necessarily get a warp or dash charger (for the heat management tech)?

Nowadays quite a no.of. phones look similar to OP8T. In fact, I scaled down to 2 models when decided to change phone
1. OP8T
2. Vivi X50
Both are pretty similar and each has its advantage and disadvantage

OP8T Wins:
1. Screen - 120hz vs 90hz
2. Processor - SD865 vs SD730
3. 5G

X50 Wins:
1. Camera - both front and back
2. VOLTE - OP8T dunno when start
3. Price - Easily cheaper by almost $400 based on local set market price (256gb model)
4. Weight - Lighter and slimmer.

I have used X50 before and no issue/lags with the lower SD 730processor. Overall, I think X50 might be a better buy.

If u don't need the fast charging, why not just use your office desktop or laptop to charge? A suitable cable will do the job.

It skipped on elaborating on the fingerprint sensor which is optical and not ultrasonic. It's a great phone but if it's ultrasonic, it will be even better. Optical can be rather frustrating at times.

No wonder after putting on my SP I have issue getting my FP read....
