Mine works also on same firmware. But I'm using Google pay not the local gpay.

I'm on 11.0.5.6 aa. I need to unlock the screen to tap out on buses.

Simply waking the screen won't work.

It's confusing now that there are two google pay apps on the playstore. One is google pay (early access) which seems to be the singapore version with access to the rewards tab.

Then there's the OG google pay app without the new fancy offers and rewards tab which I suspect will allow wake and tap to work.

I'll test it out later.

Just saw your response here. I kept the china rom, upon powering up, prompted to do an update on the hydrogen OS. Phone has sideloaded Google Playstore.

the provided case scratch super easy, hows the china rom? can update to the new OTA updates?

I flashed to global one cannot do updates ahahahah and cos do boot unlock they dont allow to use payment via NFC

I remember someone mentioned earlier the scrolling is quite sluggish for certain apps because oneplus set the refresh rate to 60hz. If we want to improve this, we can install Autohz and use it to set 120 hz for all apps? Is my understanding correct?

Yeah autoHz will help but the sluggishness is also due to many apps not optimized to 120hz. So it'll help to set the display to 120hz in apps but there will still be micro stuttering especially in google apps like chrome and google search.

That's just my own experience running autoHz, ymmv.

Anyone experiencing OS hanged when swiping up to close apps? It happens a few times on my phone already. I am using stock OP OS 11056.
And in dark mode, the white wordings is glaring to my eyes as compared to my samsung note 10 no matter how I adjust the brightness.
And is there anyway we can force apps to full screen mode? Most of my apps not appearing for me to select . I can force full screen mode for all apps in Samsung. Dunno is it due to Android 11..

Same here, I do not need to unlock my phone for small value payment which was mentioned during set up.

OK thanks. So browsing hwz forum is there noticeable improvement with autohz? I just got this phone and only tested with few apps. One of them is pcwx the scrolling feels slow.

Gpay seems to be workable though I have not setup any cards inside yet. The china rom is useable on a daily basis in my own opinion.

Mind tell me if the following is possible and how?

1) always show the warp charging animation. Mine just shows about 3 seconds and then goes to the AOD.
2) show the battery usage in hours and not %.
3) show battery usage against network signal, wifi use, etc.. (for eg in here)

Hmmm being able to Google Pay without unlocking your device is surely a convenience but also a security flaw leh.

I came from Pixel world and to my knowledge I always have to unlock to tap so I've gotten into the habit. Will try to wake-tap next time I'm on public transport.
