Honestly I'm still on Android 11 due to the screen issue stuff. How's android 13 in battery life. Any bugs?

Bring to service center and see what they say.

If local set they might replace for free

yup it seen to be the same problem. There is some heat issue after i update to Android 12. but there is no battery drain or anything. Something i can tell is the fingerpint logo do appear on my phone even when i did not touch the phone. So the screen do on by itself sometime.
Since mine is a import set (china set with international rom) i do not think can get repair from Oppo.

Quite sian as everything is working fine just a bright green line top to bottom
U r not alone. Same issue here. If replace LCD, quoted $178 (compatible) or $268 (original) by some local hp shop. Worth it to repair?

I replaced mine a month ago due to a green vertical line. Was on oos 11

Upgraded to oos 13 few days after. And last week, got a pink vertical line now.

Sianzz. Rather buy a new phone now

Did you get the original screen or compatible screen as replacement?

Thanks for your feedback anyway as it's good info for those considering replacing the screen out of pocket.

I got the compatible one.

Didn't expect to get the initial green line on oos 11 though. As most of the other users got it thru oos 12

Seems like planned obsolescence or just inferior hardware somewhere.

I do think it's the latter. Suspect that it is due to the 120hz screen used. The tech was kind of new back in 2020 and the Sony Xperia 5 II which was the first Xperia to use 120hz screen iirc also suffers from this infamous pink and green vertical lines-on-screen issue.

Welcome to the club. Can only blame the poor hw issue of the Samsung panels. I waiting for 3 line then can really become joss stick pray to god.

8T is no primary gaming phone, due to the fast charging. I have another p7 pro for photos and work.

Now thinking if I should get a second hand s22 or a Poco f5. S22 have 8gen1 heating and CPU throttling issue. F5 has a lot of bloatware but there are guides online to disable them.

I'm late to the party. No idea why so much hate on OnePlus. I am a new user coming from Huawei. I find that OxygenOS is far better than I expected.
