that particular seller (unofficial oneplus) failed to get his stock for his buyers citing huge demand

i heard he said for those who need it fast can top up 30 bucks then he will get from another source

Thanks for sharing. this was the lowest price seller during 8.8 - 519. guess he capitalized on the fact that many buyers during 8.8 would have used the 50 off coupon and thus might not feel the pinch to top up 30

Haha no I did not. Judging from the reviews and inquiries on the page I think those who paid the extra $30 only received the phone a few days earlier than those who did not.

They claimed they didn't make extra from the $30 lah but what the heck? You wanna appease your customers who have been waiting, you get the stock quicker from other sources, you pay that additional freight charges la. Why pass the cost to the customers?

When I called them they asked for my understanding as stock is difficult to obtain and that their margin is very thin. I told them why should I be understanding? You are running a business and suffering losses is part of it. It's not like they'll give me a rebate if they somehow managed to get cheaper stock.

Oh no. I am on the latest update but didn't clear cache & data lah. Haven't seen anything unusual so far though.

My unit also doesn't have the tinting issue so . It's an Indian variant btw.

I noticed the Nord is a lot more aggressive in killing the apps in the background compared to my OP6, which is strange because are on Android 10 and Oxygen OS.

My KWGT widgets don't update as frequently, WhatsApp Web constantly disconnects, and notifications arrive later than my OP6. On my OP6, I let the OS optimises all the apps. I use the same settings on the Nord.

indian variant? so yours is AC2001 version? i thought its stated as AC2003 version (Europe) on the product page?

Sometimes my whatsapp do come late, but most times its immediate. How you check whatsapp killed or not? I dont think my Nord ever killed any background apps except ones that using a lot of batt & even then it would ask me

Edit: Try this

1) under battery and apps settings, turn off all batt optimization and give full bg data access to whatsapp. Notifications also set to high importance.

2) Turn off wifi and then run whatsapp web via mobile data.

When I did the above, whatsapp web started working fine. After that, I changed back all the batt & app settings, leaving only notifications on high importance. I turned on wifi also.

Only thing now is that whatsapp turns on screen every few mins or so and I get the notification bubble showing whstapp web. Very irritating

I leave notification to normal (I really hate how high priority notification behaves) but turned off battery optimization for whatsapp. Not sure if it works for WhatsApp Web, only use it during weekdays when I'm on my computer

My GMail is also having same prob. New emails only come in when I open the app.

What frustrates me is my OP6 using exact same settings without a problem but this Nord...

I hopped over OnePlus community forum and it looks like quite a few people are having problems with WhatsApp Web, and generally connectivity issues during standby.

Also by the looks of it... might as well you and I talk through PM lah. It seems like only the two of us here have the Nord
