ok. Lets hope we continue to get good sets.

Now just need to find a solid case to help support paper Nord. Maybe buy steel sheet & put in between case & phone. Should help

the nord does not have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor unlike most samsungs

Ultrasonic is crap. Technically more secure but in usage very low rate of success.

Damn...when the 4a launches (3rd August) it'll totally knock the Nord out of the park.

But I just hope that the 4a have good hardware design this time, and not just offer 64GB/128GB versions of the phone. Google's hardware design team always damn bad for some reason, even budget Xiaomi / Realme phones look better than flagship Pixel phones.

4a design has been extensively leaked just whether hardware can hold it together for 2 years. hardware isn’t google forte somehow looking at their history.

Yes, the only expection is the 2XL made by LG.

HTC designs are damn bad for the google phones. Pixel 2 has huge af bezels when Samsung had pretty thin bezels at the time on the S8 and Apple had the X which paved the way for future smartphones. Pixel 3 still has huge bezels and the XL has the unsightly bathtub notch. Pixel 4 just straight up brought back the bezel on the top just to accomdate their useless radar chip, and didn't even bring back ultrawide front cam.

And besides that they only provide 6GB of ram, a tiny 2800mah battery and non expandable 64GB of storage. And it only maxes out at 128GB which would not be enough for my usage if it's non expandable.

Yes and no.

Google have their own design team but it is made up of mostly former HTC design team in a deal few years ago.

I actually liked the clean look of the Pixel 3a but didn't get it because only 64gb variant.

Apple barely gets away with this cause they are the only one that can offer the iOS experience and ecosystem. For Pixel no matter how good ur camera tech is it’s not justified to give poor hardware and design for the rest of the phone, cause android competition is extremely fierce.

Either Google rework their entire design team (that comes from HTC) and get some ppl from BBK or Xiaomi, or they revert back to the Nexus strategy where they pay companies to do the hardware and Google just simply does the software. The hardware from OnePlus or Xiaomi with clean software from Google would be pretty amazing.
