Just received my black diztronic case. Very cool!

The volume rocker very hard to press leh. Last time i remembered i found a setting which allowed me to control the volume via the status bar. Search like 10mins finally gave up. Anyone know?
thought status bar can only control brightness? i'm currently using the volume icon on the notification panel. press liao then manually adjust the volume

No luck still.

Yup, mine is China OPO with Color OS.
Rooted, flashed with CM11 & now Mokee.

I have created a new APN SingTel->internet->APN type (default, supl), the settings work for me.

Once the APN is up, restart the phone. in Phone Info, it should display LTE/GSM. There is no point changing the settings in Phone Info without creating the new APN.

[Reminder: I'm still on 3G plan, not 4G yet]

I've tried all the network types in "Phone Info" but I only got H+/3G on WCDMA, but it was very unstable and quickly dropped to G and "disconnected". As for LTE/GSM, I got "Disconnected".

That's strange. I never heard of such an issue before.

I'm on 4G plan so just created a new APN to speed up things. Dunno if it really makes any difference on telco's end.

Can u try to insert another 3G/4G plan SIM & see if it's the same problem. If yes, the problem may be with the modem. Then can consider the modem hack stunt. Do read up before deciding to go-ahead.

I'm guessing Salapi flashed back to Color OS is to restore default config & re-root to CM11S to smooth things out. If he goes to Chinaland, he is likely to use 3G network.

Have u tried changing to 3g and test how isbthe connection like? I realised the moment u set 3g in mobile networks, the prefered networks in phone info changes back to the default tdcdma, gsm, wcdma

Hi, why don't you try editing the APN type field for a consistent experience. Note you can use the 'default' in a few places without error. So try removing them and keep it on the APN that you want to use.

APN type

This specifies what types of data connection should use this set of APN settings. This is the second most important setting after the APN field itself.

If your carrier allows all data (including MMS, if you use it) to use the same APN settings, then this field may contain the special value of "*" (an asterisk). Note: the actual setting should not include the quotation marks.

Otherwise, if your carrier requires different APN settings for MMS and for internet data, you will need two different sets of APN settings, each with a different value in this field. This field determines which APN settings should be used for which types of communication.

What the APN settings mean

Personally, my M1 APNs sunsurf and MiWorld both have the 'default' setting. I just switch to sunsurf everytime I wipe. It is sticky, so I don't bother messing with the APNs.

Ic. China sets no LTE right. So you guys all got the set through US invites?

Are the speakers on the set sound alright. I saw in the AA review that the two speakers output holes actually is just one speaker.

Loud?
