Can someone here explain how does the tax checks work if import it via forwarder?

Mine was hand carried back by my wife since she is based overseas for this year.

if you use cgw/hsg as forwarding, their charges will cover shipping and 7% gst, so you pay then they ship. if your wife hand carry, i guess just treat it normal you are buying stuff from overseas. unless you choose to self-declare

Nope, its a hardware issue. At first i hope that the lcd connector is not connected properly, so i tried disassembled it and reconnect the connector, still same result. Nvm la why should i waste money and time sending it back for repair. I just wait until replacement part got sell lor..

If i use the parts of find 7a, will it work since its the same lcd screen??

Hmm I think highly possible it should be working since they are both similar. At least an alternative

Definitely, highly recommended after using it for 1 and a half month or so!

Really the most bang for buck phone you can find out there right now, built quality is amazing, snappy performance, selfie cam seems to be better than the M8 (according to my selfie ***** friends ), battery life is like a frigging tank and most importantly the customization and flexibility of the CM11s is top notch. The OPO has got to be the most impressive phone at its price point!

The moment I held the OPO on my hands for the first time, I was like "I'm sorry M8, but you're definitely gonna go!"

Haizz, mine is really defective set. I search around and they said oneplus will replace for u but have to pay $53 to ship back to china and get it repaired. Really heartpain but i guess i have to live with this then until got replacement parts online....

LCD Replacement "IF" I mean "IF" its going to be sold openly the cost will be more than 53 SGD for sure. And 53 SGD issnt enough courier n tax for you to ship it back to and fro from SG-China-SG. I am also not sure if OPO Repair Centre will accept mail in. If they do accept how are you going to pay them for the tax in China and also the courier fee back to SG. Best is you ask them first before sending if not got jammed in China custom then gg already.

Dont worry la at least int version can get repaired China version got problem = GG

China set have to depend on the person u bought with already see if they can help you with the repair as I dun think the OPO service centre will accept mail in repair.

For int sets I am also not 100% sure that OPO repair centres will accept mail in services. Maybe only USA opo might accept.

Lately I think they are too despo to boost up their production to capture more customers so their QC issnt very good.

Why I said so is during the testing of phones for the last 2 batches, the phones with problems happen to be higher than all the previous batches before. More phones with LCD and digitizer problem and also charging issues.

Invite is definitely the cheapest but you have to do all the importing yourself and bear some risk of faulty set or missing parcel. Just consider it yourself

I have not file a ticket yet to them about the defect. That's what im worried about too, since SG is not one of the supported countries, i dont know how the shipping going to work and also like you said the tax included. If i were to ship to and fro, it will already cost around $100+..quite a hefty price..

i have joined invite giveaways which have less than 500 participants n still not win......i gave up trying to win invites from these giveaways. But maybe its just my bad luck. Actually there are plenty other avenues to get an invite but it requires alot of camping and refreshing of web pages like oneplus reddit page and official oppo forums(go to the 繁體中文subsection since less people there) and even google+ circles.
