Looks good.

How is the OS? I personally prefer HTC's more than Xiaomi's. Didn't use OnePlus before.

Provided you have a internet access to overseas at that speed which is unlikely. Unless you only surf local servers.

Throughput wise, it will always be faster. Regardless of oversea or local.
Besides, 5ghz is gradually becoming the norm now, you can't justify anything to omit it out. If you just want to do self consolation, save it for yourself. End of the day, there's always a significant difference between 2.4 and 5ghz.
Wireless congestion on 2.4ghz, you do a scan now on 2.4, tell me how many signals can you pick up. Do a local speed test, tell me how much you can get? Lol

OnePlus's version of android is probably even more appealing than stock android. It comes with highly customisable features, yet with little bloat wares, striking a balance between minimalistic and speed. Highly recommend!

Not trying to console myself and I won't bother to convince you either.

Think too much and you get nothing.

No mistakes I Guess it's only 2.4ghz my god.

Wi-Fi 802.11n supports 2.4 and 5ghz. Granted it's not AC speeds but it is definitely faster than 2.4.

Where did you see that specifically states that only 2.4 ghz available on 1+X ?

Please don't be mistaken, there is no malice on my part here. I'm just trying to get all the facts as I'm interested in getting this phone. But if it is indeed only 2.4 ghz ( which I doubt so ), then I will not buy it.

Hi bro, no problem, please kindly refer to
https://oneplus.net/sg/x/specs

Wi-Fi: 2.4Ghz b/g/n WCN3680

I don't jump the gun easily without verifying the facts but I just want to warn potential buyers of the phone that it does not include 5.0ghz. I've checked reddit and one+ official web specs, it seems that there are only 2 possiblities, 1(hopefully) is that one+ made a mistake without putting in the 5.0ghz info as the particular chipset that they've used WCN3680 is actually capable of supporting AC Wi-Fi. If not, I believe it's a stripped down set a.k.a cut cost. If it's the latter, it's gonna be a dealbreaker for the one+ x. if you let me choose, I rather lose bluetooth for 5.0ghz lol.

Does the wifi 5ghz support a deal breaker when buying this phone? :s8:

kind of once you've used to the faster Wi-Fi speed offered by the 5ghz spectrum.

a rough estimation on how much you can get if you you have the proper router with the optimal configuration/settings on Wi-Fi. from experience, I've downloaded things in Cydia & App store apps on my iPhone 6/6S & iPad Mini 3. 6 and 6S always downloaded significantly faster compared to the iPad Mini 3, even when the iPad Mini 3 is also connected to 5ghz, but on the N network. Imagine, just imagine running the download on 2.4 Wi-Fi and depending on your router model/setup, the throughput will be super slow.

Setup
Phone: iPhone 6S
Router: Netgear Nighthawk R7000

hope this clears up stuff, I always firmly believe in sharing with one another, but it's another thing if someone clearly doesn't know his stuff and talk nonsense :s22::s13: #shotsfired

Okay...now I know why the spec didn't show up when I checked the specifications earlier. On my mobile device, the Wi-Fi information won't show up until you rotate to view it in landscape.

If this is the case , it is not a surprise as the Asus ZF5 which I purchased for my mother has the exact situation. Specs show support b/g/n but doesn't see my 5 ghz Wi-Fi SSID.

I would have been able to tolerate 802.11 n @ 5 ghz but 2.4 ghz is just way too slow.

Dealbreaker !

Heh heh... my Moto X 2013 & 2014 already cover design and vanilla android already. I was hoping for a combination of the 2 to have 1 single compact powerhouse with SD card slot. Z5 is too expensive and I would have lose my beloved AMOLED screen.

My Moto X 2014 has the exact same SD801 as 1+X so performance isn't going to be an issue. Not to mention 1+X has even more breathing room with 3gb ram and slightly higher battery cap.

Unless one truly desires 64-bit SoC like 808, 32-bit 801 is going to more than enough for the general usage.
