Onsen in Sapporo

Hi all, any recommendations on onsens in Sapporo? I'm thinking of those private ones as I'm going with my friend and it feels weird to see each other naked.

i don't mind either overnight stay or those day stays only... thanks!!!

My Favourite onsen place by far is noboribetsu. If that's too far for you then do Jozankei.

There are a few in the cities. Would suggest avoiding the sleazy ones in susukino.

There is one at North 3 west 13.

Public onsen. 420 yen must bring ur own towels soap and shampoo. Strictly no tatoos.

Very nice. Imagine sitting outdoors on a chair with hot water rushing over your back and snow falling. Pretty.

Arrange to go at different timings, if you don't want to go with your friends/family. Less awkward if you are naked with other people you don't know.

Oh lol. I thought normally ladies more open to this kind of thing? Anyways it is honestly not as bad as it seems, because once you're in the area EVERYONE is naked. The awkwardness goes away very quickly.

In any case you still have a small towel with which to cover the top, so not entirely 100% naked.

If afraid of friends seeing the original you, you can timed yourself to go in at a slightly different time. Like a gap of 5 to 10 min? By the end of that time you would be ready and soaking inside one of the tub/pool. And very likely by then your shyness has gone out of the window and ready to face your friend in your most natural self. Don't try those private onsen, they defeat the purpose of going onsen. IMO, private onsens are for couple that have other plans than onsen.

Haha. Well to be fair, private onsens are also for families that want to bathe together, which is not possible in gender separated baths.

Lots of JAVs are filmed at onsens. I wonder if they really clean the whole bath after the filming...

no leh.. just find it weird to be naked in front of a close girl friend... if strangers and everyone is naked then it's fine.. lol..
