I find Sembcorp NDP19 promo attractive. Better still try their EVERYDAY promo when u sign up posb everyday card u get $120 cash back. With referal code u get additional $25 rebate. Can try my referal code 84W8AGM4 if u need one

any hidden costs?
can i sign up posb everyday at the same time as I do not have one

Not sure why I am consuming 100kwh more after switching to keppel. Anyone facing the same issue? The bill also never say it is based on estimation. I only started to switch over in May, maybe I should monitor for another 2 months

I also face the same situation as you though mine is from Geneco. The 1st mth after switching is 30-40% higher than previous month. Subsequently, the meter reading goes back to the normal range.

Must be this reason bah: Dry spell in Singapore likely to last several months... Last month, the total rainfall recorded at the climate station in Changi was 92 per cent below the long-term average, breaking the record set in 1997 for the driest July in Singapore... Last month was Singapore's second warmest July on record, with an average temperature of 29 deg... A complex climate phenomenon known as the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD).

My electricity consumption has been relatively consistent.

I don't consume more electricity just because rate is cheaper.

Estella83 whats your usual usage? 50 kwh is a small difference for July 2018 and July 2019 if monthly average is above 700kwh, but 50kwh is a big difference if your monthly average is 200kwh.

According to SP stats national average increase around middle of the year. Considering 66% hasn’t switched. Lets give an (largely inaccurate) estimate that 25% of the 34% switchers use more electricity cos cheaper. Thats just 8.5% far from being significant enough to cause overall national average increase.

I personally feel very very little would use more cos cheaper. Just IMHO.

Reason for national average increase should be combination of 1) largely the hotter months reason from SP, 2) the handful who use more cos cheaper, 3) the even smaller handful of high usage households who use more cos they got the free one month promo (really insignificant small group), 4) any other reasons you guys can think of.

So most complaints of increase should fall in reason 1) if we use probability. Then again I wonder if may-august 2019 is hotter and drier than may-august 2018. That could also contribute to escalated figures. Just random musings of possibilities, I didn’t check the temperatures.

for those who sign up with tuas power, when will they start to credit the ntuc link points ? will it be reflected inthe SP bill ? thanks

Won’t be reflected in SP bill I believe. You can check your points on plus! app.

I think someone mentioned points credited only 1 month after your bill’s due date 8kwh = 1 linkpoint.

The sign up bonus 1000 points is only if you fall within the first 2000 sign ups for TP from 1 May 2019.

I have recently signed up and get the geneco fixed 24 because of promotion (78$ rebate promo code + 20$ referral). I have compared OHM and Geneco, but OHM does not have any promotion when I signed up.

If you intend to sign-up for geneco, you can use my referral code "98205593" for you to get 20$ rebate.

Not sure why only 34% of household switched to OEM. Confirmed will save some $$$ if switched one...

Not sure why also quite a number of ppl kana problems or oversurged their usual usage.

I asked my relatives who are aged to use Tuas...so far all no problem.

Same billing and the costs dropped. Usage calculation is correct as I asked them to call SP to inform "the numbers" on the meter during last day with SP :o

Effectively after GST, it is even less than $100 rebates.

If electricity consumption is low, opt for a retailer with maximum rebates and lowest rate.

If electricity consumption is very high, can consider SP Wholesale.
