Hello, thanks for your advise

Keppel already cancel my application, but union power i call them again.. and explaint.. they still reluctant to cancel my application... however i told them if you dont cancel any dispute in future november either geneco or union power charge me termination fee im not going to pay!! Why keppel can cancel but not union...And also i tell union that i have already file a report to CASE (consumer association) to act on behalf of me.. nxt week i also will meet a lawyer to look into this matter.. after they hear that they scared.. the union lady say hold on... then after that she say i call u back...

Union Power is a smaller retailer than Keppel.

It is obvious they are quite desperate.

Anyway, no need lawyer lah. As I said, you have a stronger case to stop.

The only loss or damage Union suffers is just the admin cost for the application process.

And it is not fair for consumer to pay the early termination fee since the service or contract has not started yet.

Whenever a customer enters into a contract with a retailer, his expected consumption or load is hedged through futures.

Now he breach contract he should man up and pay the early termination charges and not expect retailers to eat the trading loss.

And all retailers have lots of experience with CASE and EMA. By clicking the submit button and checking all checkboxes, our troll here has, through multiple steps agreed to enter into a contract with the retailers.

He mentioned his start supposed to be on 24/Nov.

Union Power already gone into a futures contract at this point of time?

I think it is insane. His consumption may change from now till Nov.

My advise is to check with the regulators since Geneco cannot do anything.

Any retailer would have hedged otherwise they need to expose themself to spot price. When he entered into the contract there is the start date there.

who will wait until contract start then come and hedge...

Go and call SP or EMA.

I already checked with Geneco. So you don't need to waste time.

Nothing Geneco can do on their side.

Did you sign up with Keppel only recently? SP will send you a letter and also an sms stating your MSSL, which begins with 9.

Since I still need time to consider, can I switch back to SP by end of the contract and then change to new retailer again? Anyone know how long it will allow change from SP to new retailer again?

Any complain so far from sunseap?

When does the retailer rebate for Tuas Power come in? Last month my bill was offset by the U-Save rebates. This month the SP bill reflected electricity charges under SP until 7 Aug, and under Tuas Power from 8 Aug to 27 Aug, but my $120 rebate is not reflected anywhere. Do I need to wait until next month?

from their T&C, bill rebate is credited in 2nd or 3rd bill. :s12:
