If I now paying $x under contract by A company, then now A company raise price to $Y, and next month my contract ends and I never recontract, so I still pay $X or pay $Y ?
Will i still be using A ccompany or default back to SP ?

Auto-renewal at $Y price or newer price on date of renewal, with free termination within 1mth if u wana change provider.
Or recontract beforehand at price $x

the recontract price might not be $x. Depending on the OEM, some might offer special rate between $x n $y. Some will just offer $y. And most likely you lose out on rebate also.

Just moved from SP Wholesale to Tuas Power. Will SP Wholesale auto refund the Security Deposit or have to call in?

SPWS use my security deposit to offset my last bill when I switched to Union Power, but not sure about Tuas Power.

what will happen if I don't sign a new contract with the OEM? does the service goes back to SP, or they will cut off the supply?

How high ? Your latest bill

Anyway sembcorp just emailed me : be it 12-24mth
22.50c/kWh
(w/ GST)

haven't received latest bill but had cut down on usage this month after August's bill shock of 26.45cts per kwh.

my estimate based on yesterday's USEP is about 70cts per kwh after factoring in about 5cts for transmission charges, etc. usage cost in terms of dollars is about $20 just for yesterday.

We are supposed to have overcapacity of electricity. Sometimes I wonder if this is deliberate to raise prices....

70c??!!!! Is alot
made a mistake. yesterday's average USEP is about 83 cts. so it would be about 88cts per kwh after adding in other fees

comparing usep for yesterday's spike against the other days spikes in july and aug

The deliberate is not true.
The issues started with overbuilding of new power plants back in 2012-2016... EMA over anticipated the demand of singapore...

Plus... when economic down turn and government want to raise competition among the gencos, they started this rubbish OEMS thingy. They want to raise the activity in the energy trading market... l

So what u are seeing in terms of raising costs is because all the power plants are losing money... EMA can no longer subsidize them, so they past on the costs to consumers like us...
