ask brokerage firm to open for you? all in one stop. I went Kim Eng Securities to open one. they only ask for my NRIC.

oh yeah. do pass your SGX quiz. den they will allow you to open account for ETFs

oh yeah. no fees required for opening.

Actually easier to open through brokerage. More places and timing and can shun bian open trading account, all for free.

I called SGX yesterday. The CSO said can walk in without appt to apply. If come on Sat morning, expect to wait 30 mins to 1 hour. Also do not go during weekdays lunchtime.

If not in a hurry, she advises to mail in application. I asked if bank e-statements count, she said no. (Thought the website said it's ok)

They do accept bank e-Statements.

Mailed in my application last week. Got a reply with my number this week. Very fast, convenient and hassle free. :)
