Opinions on gaming build.

Hey guys. its been some time since i last asked for advice for a build and i still haven't gotten around to getting it since I'm broke as hell. saving up my allowance for the next two months and hoping to get my pc done. for the time being this is my build

just wondering if my power supply is good enough and if there are slight tweaks to make to my build. would also welcome recommendations on cheaper monitors since i just more or less picked the cheapest one out of the list. build will be used for gaming(dota2 mainly but will branch into more fps like bf4 and maybe will get watchdogs) as well as video processing since i have a friend who does recording and i help my friend with editing and processing. build should enable to run both games as well as have my video be processing in the background.

Why such a tiny monitor? Suggest you get at least a 23/24" 1080p monitor.

Graphics card no point getting the 4GB edition. The 2GB one will suffice. Not much difference in terms of performance.

Wireless adapter get something that is better IF your wireless router supports.

If you don't mind getting parts from overseas, your SSD buy from Amazon will give you quite a significant amount of savings. For example top up slightly more for the 250GB version (selling @ $135 USD ~$175 SGD)

okay. i think ill just revert back to the 2gb version in that case. I'm using the standard singtel router. the black one for fiber? so which wireless adapter should i get. which monitor do you suggest

Dont be fooled by the name bro. Yes i admit it sounds stupid. And at first i thought it was a cooking oil.

Names are weird. But the brand is very reputable. Do a quick search in google. Techpowerup has their reviews on most of their models. The only difference why not many people knows about it is because they dont push to market it. And they market a few high end psu for other brands in america such as kingwin. Fractal design newton, and other brands. They are also as good as seasonics models. Now with their new range of psu such as leadex gold and leadex platinum model.

Hahaha can vouch for its reliability and the solid build. Accidentally knocked over my psu when building the com, but still working fine for this past 6 months of usage. No weird electric static sound or fan sound at all.

The fan also very silent.

I had mine on turn on mode. Even if i game with ny dual 290s drawing about 700w ish region (according to my kill a watt reader). The fan is still quiet.

For total quietness i will switch to hybrid mode at night when everyone is sleeping and i use the desktop for website viewing purposes, since pc is on idle and draw not much power, the fan just wont turn on. And normally for certain psu it will feel a little warm without cooling. But leadex edition managed to keep cool.

just did a bit of snooping on prices and realized that i could possibly upgrade to a gtx770 but is it worth it. also will be sticking to 4gb since i heard watchdogs requires 4gb vram

4gb vram on 770 might as well just buy r9 290 twin frozr at $605.
