not really into gaming, but likes to play game in the highest setting.
Aesthetic over performance. planning to custom water-cooled with hard tubing. (first attempt but YOLO)

Why matx? Go full atx lah. And that case is really hard to build watercooling given the dimensions you work in.

I'd bring the mobo+CPU down a notch to Z97 and use the savings towards a 980 Ti instead.

Price-performance wise, 980ti is better. You pay some what more to get a whole tonne of improvement in performance.

It loses to T-X by say less than 5-10%?

haha! another 1 attracted to lian li pc-o6s!? im currently using the same casing.

it is really a solid casing with superb aesthetic look when paired with led lights..watever u put it in, red theme or any type of mobo and gpu will look great in it..your friend (non-pc enthusiast) will look in awe when they see ur pc...definitely.

but with all the aesthetic look, this case is actually pain in the ass for me. i love it..really.. but i dont recommend ppl to get it

Swap to Caselab or LDcooling lah. That one underwear wet one.

- Go for 980ti instead.
- With the pricing of Skylake + Gene might as well find a nice X99 board with i7-5820k.

dont like that leh. lian li also not bad la. depend on individual definition of aesthetics

if you're going wc, dont get lianli. sure instant regret once you wanna find place to mount radiator. whats your budget for entire rig? i would advice go soft tubing instead. easier to work with. go itx and you can go with caselab s3. the way to reduce your budget is to go as small as possible so that it will look packed which will bring out the look. nobody wants to look at a big case with only 1 waterblock.

Small casing very very challenging to wc. Might as well get a larger atx casing then mod to your liking
