My wife's N5 inner screen suddenly stopped working out of the blue, can view but no responses to touch whatsoever. Went to Westgate service center and was told this is quite common but they have no parts in stock and will take 1-2 weeks to replenish, will call when parts come in. Anyone encounter this issue before?

Just found out my N5 has a similar issue when I unfolded to watch a video just now. The inner screen displays fine but touchscreen is broken when it is unfolded more than 30 degrees.

Yah, they called after 1 week, went down and the screen was replaced within 1 hour. They said battery was changed as well. All working fine now.

Looking up online finding all sorts of conflicting information about whether the warranty is 2 years or 1 year only for the screen.

N5 local set is 2 years warranty.. if its manufacturer's defect like the above then it's covered.. I believe u mixed up with the accidental screen warranty ie drop ur phone then screen crack coverage.. that one shud have been long expired le..

Yes, 2 years warranty, bought in Feb 2025.

Got it repaired today. Took about 2 hours. Basically a new phone now. Thank god the standard warranty is 2 years and not 1 unlike a certain company.

nope but tbf I didn't bother to ask either. I assume it's some ribbon cable or connector being stretched too much when it unfolds fully or something, resulting in the touchscreen only working when unfolded slightly and broken when unfolded fully.

they replaced the screen, frame and batteries and installed a new front screen protector also.
