Went to molest the orange unit.. chio leh.. but becoz of the new creaseless tech I can see when folded there's quite a thick air gap between the two panels.. like very prone to dust..
The Oppo Find N6 features advanced, high-level water and dust resistance, with confirmed ratings of IP56, IP58, and IP59. These ratings enable the foldable device to handle high-pressure and high-temperature water jets, setting a new durability standard for foldables.

IP56 (Dust-Protected + High-Pressure Water Jets): The device is protected against limited dust ingress (not fully dust-tight) and can withstand powerful water jets from any direction.

IP58 (Dust-Protected + Long-Term Submersion): The device is protected against limited dust ingress and is suitable for long-term submersion in water under specified pressure conditions.

IP59 (Dust-Protected + High-Temperature/Pressure Jets): The device is protected against limited dust ingress and can withstand high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, such as steam-jet cleaning.

Ok lah, got some protection against dust.

The protection is so that it doesn't damage the hinge only.. it doesn't prevent against dust accumulation for inner screens.. like currently the fold 7 also got a air gap can slot toothpick in accumulate dust quite annoying lol..

Maybe Honor is the way to go then? IP69

I'll have to see the unit in person first though.

full protection case kind of defeats the purpose of it trying to be slim, same like those Z Fold 7 ones.. for me, the one by xundd is fine, and probably the reason why N5 came with similar one in the box and the magnetic box set

which is why i prefer this kind of case, but without the front as it also interferes with using the front screen if theres hinge protection

Don't say slot toothpick

My zf7 ear hole also kenna hard to remove linen/dust b4

Anyway, yolo life too short to nitpick

At most just learn a lesson if really more prone to kenna dust accumulation

I would like to believe they more or less got factor in dust accumulation b4 coming up with current design

Like it or not, there will never ever be a perfect phone

Just settle for the 2nd best phone and get the next better phone when your interest level drops

it depends on your needs. Not all people need a foldable phone. If camera is the main focus, X9 Pro is still the overall better package

Saw a video. The new creaseless design not related thick air gap between the 2 panels.

Oppo change the design of the screen to a water droplet closed position design to reduce stress when open close open close over time.
