At $1699 no way it will compete with s20 series.

-No Proper water resistance, No SD card support, doesn't really offer a killer feature over s20

Wah, really $1699.

I pre-ordered mine from China at $1400. Difference is 256GB... and more frequent ColorOS updates on the Chinese version... and also maybe Breeno AI?

Ditching Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max for this.

At $1699 no way it will compete with s20 series.

lmao. OPPO must be crazy. It's probably worth 1k+, but not at 1700.

I looked around online and Oppo not known for timely updates too for OS updates.

My sis oppo reno (non 10x zoom) stuck at dec update till now

I think xiaomi has more frequent updates then oppo. Can consider mi 10 or mi 10 pro

It is ip68, 512gb so no need micro sd card as compared to 128 gb s20 sold here.

But I agree, can’t fight with s20 at this price cos people generally prefers Korean brand over Chinese brand, and wouldn’t mind paying a premium for Samsung phones. I think both phones are over priced.

Eh, you can fault Samsung for their prices, but at the very least Samsung updates their phone security patches monthly. I can't say the same for Oppo if online comments in forums are to be believed. Even my mom's cheap Samsung low end phone also getting monthly security updates.

I don't like Xiaomi's interface.

Nowadays almost every make of mobiles will have their flagships crossing the $1K mark....
Even Xiaomi mi10pro.

Higher mid range tier with SD730, SD765 are already hitting the $800/-

Last year we have seen Asus selling flagship ROG II phone at $1.5k and Huawei were going for $1.2K

Only Apple and Samsung dare to cross the $2k mark for now...

I am very interested in this phone however, $1699 for an Oppo phone is really over-killed. It will be more logical if the local price is $1499 or below. Don't bother to with Samsung or Apple. Those are international brands while Oppo is a Chinese brand.

Wow, I never knew their price are this high... Just checked on the mobile store sites...

1699, and the value of their phone drop alot after launch though

However, mi 10 pro offers similar stuff, yes their OS is not polished but i still feel in terms of monthly updates at least xiaomi dont fail in this area though.

I dont like colorOS but am curious to try the new colorOS
