i'm still having issues with the battery drain, especially on standby. had 88% when I went to bed at midnight and woke up it's only 40%.

something's very wrong...

doesn't happen on mine. send it to service centre.

so what's a decent % drop overnight that I should expect? if I left it at 80% when I go sleep, say 7 hrs later... upon waking up how many % should I see?

Depending on ur background services running. But normal rate maybe 1 percent per hour if not in use? But 30 to 40 percent is not normal in any means.. and usually idle drain is software related, and thats why i suggest factory reset first

Probably some program is running at background?

I don't game either.
But I notice 60Hz vs 120Hz when scrolling webbrowser and most other up-down scrolling.
And I really appreciate the smoothness of 120Hz, although I think Apple phones have had that responsive and smooth scroll feeling many years ago.
If you do not perceive the difference, you could count yourself lucky, because you can stay at 60Hz, enjoy longer battery life or lower hardware prices.

Now this phone has 240hz touch polling rate, whereas apple only have 120hz touch. During typing you can feel the difference.

Keen to explore the Find X2 Pro as next phone to upgrade to.

Any user here a previous user of Pixel 3/4 series? How would you compare the camera performance (and resulting photos) of the Find X2 Pro compared to the Pixel range?

Also, what's Oppo's track record when it comes to Android updates?

TIA!

How's this phone compared to oneplus 8 Pro huh. 🙏

Oneplus pro 8 has better rated battery life apparently. Even beats mi 10 pro v slightly.

But the charging speed is pathetic vs find x2 pro 65w vs 30w. Huawei had 40w 2 years ago already

Oppo split the battery into 2 cells hence manage to achieve 65w charging as it charges 2 cells in parallel. And splitting battery into 2 have its con too, battery effiency is not as good as 1 single cell though and 2 cells will detriorate together instead of 1 cell

alright. problem solved.

it's because i'm using Singtel GOMO and it doesn't support VoLTE... but the VoLTE function is switched on. Hence... the phone's constantly trying to 'connect' with it like how Wifi is always searching for signal when it's turned on.

no wonder the phone's always feeling warm... and the battery drains like crazy.

it took me a trip to their service centre and the issue was solved in 5 mins. unfortunately their online support chat wasn't able to pinpoint the problem and caused me a trip to Suntec instead >.>

so in case any new users come across this thread.... just take note of the VoLTE issue.

actually I must say kudos to the girls manning the service counters at the store. After describing the problem to them, one of them immediately asked me if I'm using VoLTE / whether I'm using pre-paid or post-paid, etc.

seems like it is a known issue all along, but it's not broadcasted to end users. it saved me hours of leaving the phone with the service centre to diagnose.

now i'm much happier with the phone. 4 hours passed with about an hour of SOT and 12% drop.

Fair point. But the fact is they did so in a phone of similar form factor and with oppo being the parent you'd expect oneplus who positions as a flagship killer to have that right?

Any battery degradation a bit overrated la. If your phone got good battery life, 1 year later also np, like my current P30 pro

what u say is true. however, having used this phone before, have to charge end of everyday though unlike huawei phones which can last me two days...

there is the 2 year warranty in place though. so even though battery deteriorate twice faster, but can use for 2 years at least till u recontract though

Interesting. Thanks for sharing that! Coming from Huawei P30 pro really hard to change to a better phone.

Went with mi 10 pro instead :D
